Anyone got one of those office aftershave ballbreakers that continually complain about the scents in the workplace? Well I got one, that decided to go to HR the other day about it..

my response?

This would have to be one of the strongest and longest lasting splashes I have… Three applications of this splash should do it
That almost qualifies as a WMD. :D You could knock down a yak at 40 paces with that...

I can send you some Lilac Vegetal if you like? Nobody will suspect that anybody is actually wearing that scent, it has awesome cut through and people will be complaining to HR about the cat piss smell without any idea where it is coming from.

I share your pain as last year our team sat near a lady who was hyper sensitive to smells that we couldn't even use anything barring water, to wipe down our workstations. Luckily we relocated and the new team members happily wear their favourite fragrances freely. :)

Today is the New Improved Big Fellow
Pre-shave:- Shower
Brush:- TroyTools "Mink Nebula"
Soap:- Noble Otter - Two Kings
Razor:- New Improved Big Fellow
Blade :- Gillette Super Stainless (2)
Balm:- Noble Otter - Two Kings
HlWGYxJ.jpg

Another excellent shave and could have stopped with DFS+ after 1 pass.
The NIBF has quite a bit of blade feel as is expected from an open comb. Teeth are short and edges a little sharp but not uncomfortable like JAWS
This razor commands respect due to blade feel as do all aggressive OC but at no time did I come close to a nick or razor burn but could feel blade against lips
I would rate it a tad higher than Karve OC-D level of efficiency possibly smooth enough for a daily driver
Thanks again @Mark1966 - top notch (y)

The new improved is efficient but oh so good. Id expect the extra heft of that handle takes the level up a bit. I guess I could create a similar feel with the same head on a handle like the brass Yintal razor. A faux big fellow of sorts.

(y) Nice looking brush. Unusual shape. How is it in the hand?

Brush: TF Customs Hybrid Burl Badger

Its really good. Easy to hold by the bottom and stir in soap or bowl, and easy to hold higher on the knot socket when face lathering. Very comfortable. And the knot is very nice also (it was a stable-mate of the one in your Mink Nebula;))

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Paladin Lotus Select Badger
Cream: WSP Barbershop
Razor: Merkur 37C
Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (3)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel, Myrsol Plastic Shave Aftershave Lotion
Scent: Tauer L'Air Du Desert Marocain EDT

Had the slant angle down on second use of the 37C.

First use of the WSP cream. It is a croap at the firmer end of the scale. Lovely fresh Barbershop scent, and very nice slick lather. It felt great on the skin during the shave, and also postshave (I apply remnant lather for face conditioning whilst I clean up). The postshave was sensational. Checking the ingredients, I noted that aloe juice is high up on the ingredients list (ahead of the fats); also loaded with argan oil and shea butter. Works for me.

An application of witch hazel, then an old favourite - Myrsol Plastic Shave. The lactic acid in this lotion gives a face conditioning like no other in my experience. My skin is rejoicing.
Feeling so good I broke out a flash fragrance to complete the experience.
