Pre-shave: Hot Shower
Brush: WCS - Honeycomb white 26mm tuxedo
Soap/Cream: A&E - Club Baccara
Razor: Blackland - Blackbird Ti
Blade: Feather (2)
Post-shave: A&E - Club Baccara AS splash / A&E - skin food nourishing cream

2 pass WTG daily shave = DFS+. A better shave than the previous day. Seems the Feather blade has broken in and is now working noticeably smoother although the efficiency of the blade does not jump this razor into the next category. This razor is a firm Karve SB D level in efficiency.

Brush: WCS - Honeycomb white 26mm tuxedo
Soap/Cream: Blue Devil Shave Co. - Vetiver
Razor: Blackland - Blackbird Ti
Blade: Feather (3)
Post-shave: Fine - Fresh Vetiver AS / Proraso - Cypress Vetiver AS balm

2 pass WTG + touchups daily shave = DFS+. Seems the blade has lost some efficiency. Had to struggle to achieve the shave quality with a fair few touchups. Knowing my usage with Feather blades, I believe this blade will be binned by the end of the next 1-2 uses.

Brush: TF Customs - P&C charity auction 2020 ivory 24mm 2 band finest
Soap/Cream: TOBS - Cedarwood
Razor: Razorock - Lupo 95
Blade: Gillette - Minora SS (37)
Post-shave: Proraso - wood & spice beard balm / A&E - Anti ageing night cream

2 pass WTG + touchups daily shave = DFS+ . The blade that keeps on giving great shaves. Going back to a cream such as TOBS makes you realise how good the artisinal shaving soaps really are. Although nothing wrong with TOBS cream, it is just the artisinal shave soaps have developed further adding to a better shave experience.

Pre-shave: Hot shower
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Rooney shaving brush
Soap/Cream: Noble Otter Two Kings soap
Razor: Rhodium Replated Vintage Gilette L 1 Slim (4)
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (5)
Post-shave: Noble Otter Two Kings splash
Fragrance: Penhaligon's Halfeti EDP

Thinking about those in lockdowns around the country - pretty ordinary :(

Geo F Trumper, Violet
Charcoal Goods, Level 2, Torpedo Handle
Gillette Old Popular, Rhodium Knot

O.M.F.G. Locked down again! Am really starting to get over this. Back to home schooling. JOY! Time to move to some remote part of Australia, buy some land, grow our own food and be self-sufficient. On a more positive note, this was a fantastic shave. The Rhodium knot on this brush is just sublime.

Pre-shave: Hot water, Pears soap
Brush: CaYuen "Copper Ore" 30mm SynBad
Soap: Czech & Speake - Oxford & Cambridge
Razor: RR SS Hawk V3, Blackland Vector
Blade: Chinese No-Name, Schick Proline
Post-shave: Shower, homebrew moisturiser, La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50+
COTD: Yemen Mocha Ismaili

The No-Name blade, having seen me through just two (head+face, 3+ passes) wasn't up to the job this morning, so I didn't persist with it. You get what you pay for, I guess, but it might be good value for a face shaver. They are a nice smooth shave in the Hawk when they're fresh. Never any doubts about the Proline though, a perfect, easy BBS with the Vector.

Soap: APR Bay City
Brush: Omega 10083
Razor: Colonial General V2 Head w/ Blackland Sabre handle
Blade: Feather Pro (1)
With over 100 razors in the collection I'm not really expecting a WOW moment with a new razor but I was wrong. The Colonial General V2 provided a beautiful shave, BBS, smooth, and handled the usual difficult areas with ease. WOW!
For me it even edges out the Vector, and I love the Vector.
Kyle said to me in his email he was sure I'd be surprised by the razor, comparing to the V1, and I took that with a grain of salt, but despite this being first run, I was very impressed.
The Sabre handle turned out to be a good choice, not only looking the part but providing a very stable and intuitive platform for the Colonial General to perform.
Prior to @Erol reviewing the V2 I was thinking, nah, I'm happy with the V1, I don't need to spend more money, but Erol's review was convincing and I pulled the trigger, albeit too late to score the original V2 handle that was made for the head.
Well done Colonial Razors, the General still rules!

You obviously got in there quickly, I notice he's sold out again. Hopefully he'll have made more by January. Pretty obvious that making razors is not his full-time job...

Not quick enough to score the original handle. Kyle said they are going to make a more traditional knurled one which I hope befits the mighty General.
Almost surprised when anything turns up these days. Our build came to a screaming halt a month ago due to unavailability of materials. We could be in the shed a long time. May have to move back into the house to reno the shed after a couple of years.:ROFLMAO:

Did he come up with a different handle for the V2? The only one I've seen is the original cannon-barrel one he did ages ago for the V1, and that's been out of production for a long time.

OTOH, if I were still into DE razors, I would be very much tempted by his Silversmith, that's a beautiful looking piece of work...

That's listed as discontinued as well. I hadn't thought of that. That handle may have been a good option. It will be interesting to see what he comes up with for the General.

A little plate loss on the bar and doors as expected through normal usage, but in great shape otherwise.:)
