Do you have any suggestions for the best places to get boar knots? ie. without handles? I've already got a couple of people in mind for the handles... :)

I think @TroyTools has a bunch.

Yup, I have a box full of boar knots. 26 & 28mm.
And I also make handles for those knots:D. Really really nice handles:love: to fit those boar knots into:D

Pre-shave:- Cold Shower
Bowl/Scuttle:- Captain's Choice
Brush:- Semogue SOC 2 Band Finest Badger in Cherry Wood 24/53mm knot
Soap/Cream:- Vintage Sir Irisch Moos (shave stick)
Razor/Blade:- Merkur 34C / Gillette Stainless (red & white) #17
Post/After-shave:- T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent mixed into the 240ml bottle with Invite E High Potency Pure Oil (10 drops), Natural Plant Glycerin (20) & Tea Tree Oil Antiseptic (5)

Soap: Pb No: 42
Razor: Colonial General V2 w/ Sabre handle
Blade: Feather Pro (2)
AS: Blue Stratos aftershave balm
Part of the point of the shot was to show the almond tree in the background is in full blossom but it doesn't show. Spring is coming.
Shave No:2 with the General V2 was still very impressive.

Pre-shave: Hot water, Pears soap
Brush: Forgotten Art "Tarkine" 26mm Tuxedo
Soap: House of Mammoth - Embrace (y)@rhodes96
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: Schick Proline
Post-shave: Shower, just using remaining soap. Nothing else needed. (y)
COTD: Yemen Mocha Ismaili

This soap, another from my now dwindling selection of samples from @rhodes96 leaves possibly the best post-shave feel I've ever come across, presumably from all those fancy fats: "...duck fat ..beef tallow ... babassu oil, argan oil, murumuru butter..." along with the more familiar lanolin, allantoin and silk amino acids. Whatever they've done, they've done it right. The scent is a light combination of "pink pepper, cardamom, coffee, berry, guaiacwood, labdanum, patchouli, and a range of musks". None of those are easy for me to pick out individually in this case (not even the patchouli, and I hate patchouli), they combine to give an impression of a very classy soapy smell that reminds me of a Penhaligon scent I can't put my finger on.

I agree of the bunch I tried, House of Mammoth was a real surprise in performance and the scent smelt amazing!!!

Do you sell the knots and how much is a finished brush?

Hi mate, for the long answer, I posted a few months ago on another thread here.
Short version though, $100 for simple handle, add $20 for fitment of a synthetic or boar knot I have in stock.
More complex or bigger handles & bespoke extras slightly increase the price depending on what is wanted.
Badger brushes (these are high quality knots which are ex TF Customs stock) start at $160.
I'm happy to work with buyers to provide what they want in a brush and/or handle, and will work closely to provide what is within my abilities and workshop equipment capabilities.

Fortunately for end users purchasing knots only, the internet is very likely more cost effective than I'll ever be able to provide for them. Basically I can't compete with knot resellers on price, which is why I don't wish to sell knots only.
Finished brushes and handles is what I do though, and for this pursuit I need the knots I have, as opposed to just selling off my high quality knot stock, which would quickly undermine my ability to provide the best brushes I can to my customers.

Some of my brushes have made appearances here on this forum recently thanks to members sharing their purchases with the group. (thanks guys(y))

Fantastic job on today's SOTD by the young'in. Over 20 mins work picking the hardware/software and arranging it. 👍. Not bad choices either.

Post Shave: Hot Shower
Brush: Wolf Whiskers - custom Heart of Griffindor 30mm blackwolf
Soap/Cream: Hendrix Classic & Co. - Emperor Oud
Razor: Razorock - Lupo 95
Blade: Gillette - Minora SS (38)
Post-shave: Fine - L' Orange Noir AS / Hendrix Classic & Co. - Emperor Oud AS balm

2 pass WTG + touchups daily shave = DFS+ . Another nice shave.

I took the the time to really whip some serious lather with the 30mm brush. This soap base formula is outstanding. The scent of the oud was a little stronger this time round once lathered and was absolutely beautiful. Warm, woody, and smooth, Hendrix Classic & Co. vegan soap base is a winner. It is defiantly up there with the best soap bases I have ever used. I could not fault the lather quality in anyway. Everything you could ask for in a shave soap, this one delivers. (y)(y)

Soap/Cream: Declaration Grooming - Cygnus X-1
Razor: Razorock - Lupo 95
Blade: Gillette - Minora SS (39)
Post-shave: Declaration Grooming - Cygnus X-1 AS splash / A&E skin food nourishing cream.

2 pass WTG + touchups daily shave = DFS+. Another enjoyable shave.

Shave: Hot Shower
Brush: Wolf Whiskers - blueberry pie 24mm blackwolf
Soap/Cream: Noble Otter - Orbit
Razor: Wolfman - WRH7 / WR2 1.45
Blade: Gillette - Minora SS (40)
Post-shave: Noble Otter - Orbit AS splash / A&E skin food nourishing cream.

2 pass WTG Daily = DFS+. Another enjoyable shave, practically a BBS.
40 shaves on the Gillette Minora SS blade. Blade is still smooth and efficient. There is a fair bit of blade exposure felt with this razor, although not intimidating in anyway, just smooth and efficient shaves. For reference this razor shaves one level of efficiency above the Lupo 95.
