So Good

This brush is awesome and the M&M GMF is one of my favourite scents starts off like a freshly squeezed green lime and quickly dries down to what I recall Brut smelling like for the rest of the day and tapers off to a nice blackcurrant for the afternoon.

A bit of a story with the #15. Being a tinkerer and self proclaimed tight arse I bought the cheaper razor offered with known drop knob issues and went to work repairing the drop knob. Went down the route of using a pipe cutter with cutting wheel replaced with a washer. This worked too well and I actually overtightened the outer case and thought I was never going to be able to open the razor again (lesson 1) . Had to use pliers coated with electrical tape to open the doors and therefore decided to pull the whole razor apart and lubricate well, in an attempt to make the action smoother. While the razor was apart decided to try and even up the doors (lesson 2 if it aint broke dont fix it). During crimping, bending and tapping I managed to break one of the lugs on a door and nothing short of skilled soldering was going to fix this

Long story short I broke it and @Mark1966 kindly sent some spare parts he had in the shed to fix it.

Is now back to a fully functioning user grade #15 that shaves like new, and what a shave. Still think this is the smoothest efficient OC I have ever had the pleasure of using.

Sounds like so many stories I've had with razors, which is how come I had spares!

Glad you have got it working again - well done you.

Pre-shave: Hot water, Pears soap
Brush: Forgotten Art "Tarkine" 26mm Tuxedo
Soap: First Line Shave - Delmar Blvd. (y)@rhodes96
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: Schick Proline
Post-shave: Shower, homebrew moisturiser, La Roche Posay Anthelios SPF50+
COTD: Yemen Mocha Ismaili

I'm further along with @rhodes96' samples than I thought, I only have two left after this one. It's been a great journey. (y) Delmar Blvd is a lovely soap to use, lathering quickly with comparatively little water, feeling slick and hydrating on the skin. The scent is apparently inspired by the Bleecker St fragrance, if that means anything. The scent notes supplied by First Line Shave are..
Top Note: Violet Leaf, Blueberry and Thyme,
Middle Note: Cedarwood, Sweet Fruity Jasmine and Peppery Vanilla Cinnamon
Base Note: Oakmoss, Suede, Patchouli, Amber and Warm and Soft Vanilla
...but this is a genuine accord, so most of those don't jump to the front, not even the ones I hate (patchouli and vanilla). I'd say the scent is about mid-strength, really tastefully done. Lovely. But I had enough in the sample for two shaves, and I've gone and squandered it all on one. :(
