Soap: MacDuff's Soap Company - Royal Earl Grey - thanks @Ebonysw45 (y)
Razor: RR SS Hawk V3

Post-shave: Shower, homebrew moisturiser, La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50+
COTD: Mocha Ismaili, Yemen

Staying with this sample until it's finished, I'm guessing probably Thursday. Possibly not the best lather I've ever had, but it gets the job done. And it does smell nice...

Pre: Hot Shower, Nivea Skin & Stubble
Brush: Omega Boar
Soap: Ariana & Evans London Gin Club
Razor: Fine Accoutrements Marvel
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Post: Nivea Skin & Stubble, Aloe Vera

Gave the boar brush a chance and did a quick breaking in; soaked it for 3 days as per internet advice, wiping it every 24 hours on a cloth, just till touch dry and not for 10 minutes. I have better things to do lol.

Softer, much less animal smell but didnt lather as well as my other synthetics. Needs more breaking in I imagine.

Thankfully this A&E did not burn my face. I'm probably sensitive to whatever fragrance oil they put in the Turkish Coffee. The scent on this London Gin Club is much more subdued.

BBS with the Marvel as its mild nature made extra buffing easy peasy with practically no risk of razor burn.

I also feel a little warm feeling when using A&E Turkish Cafe, I would say maybe the cardamom is the cause and yes persist with your boar. I have an Omega 11137 that I tried breaking in (by shaving) for months, and just couldnt bond with it as it didnt lather anywhere near as good as my synthetics..

one day i left it in the water too long and the knot popped out, after a very long while I reattached the knot without much care or love and ended with a crappy job, but, once I used it loved it that much I went on a bit of a Boar spending spree and know have 6 (once my zenith arrives)

Keep at it, once broken in will be quite soft tipped but with backbone and will lather a lot better than now

Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)

Soap: P&B Spitfire
Post: Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm // P&B Spitfire solid cologne
WTG, ATG, Touchups = DFS

Enjoying some R&R after another trip to hospital with a bad reaction to my first jab with lingering aches & pains that don't want to go away. Apparently I had a different bug at the time of vaccination so my body has been fighting that and the side effects of the vaccine so hoping things settle down by weeks end... Big respect to the hospital staff as they're doing amazing work under stressful conditions!

Looked to mix things up with the shave so grabbed the OC plate and a fresh blade but regretting the decision as the shave was far from smooth as evident by the few nicks on my neck. Not all bad as my weekend growth was mowed down with ease but things should smooth out once the fresh blade sees some more usage...?

Stay Safe & Happy Shaves!

Pre-shave: Hot shower
Brush: Semogue 'Taj Mistura' (Boar/Badger mix)
Soap/Cream: Castle Forbes Lime
Razor: Ever-Ready SE 'Model 1914' aka 'Little Lather Catcher'
Blade: Gem (Personna?) (1)
Post-shave: Alum block, Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve, Armaf ‘Club de Nuit’
The old timer took a little getting used to, with the head attached to the handle at a peculiar angle compared to a normal SE razor but before too long I got the feel of it.
Felt a bit harsher than what I remembered but certainly cleaned up a 2 day growth without any issues. With the max temperature here today at 11C, the soap was likely a poor choice but in the steamy environs of the bathroom I managed to pretend I was on a tropical island somewhere; :) DFS.

I dont know about GSB blades, but I find with my R41 I need a very shallow angle (riding the cap to the max) AND and very light touch, and end up with an amazing shave.. of course lather etc

give that a crack with a polsilver in the Bronze OC

Stay Safe & Happy Shaves!

You have been blessed with shaving with the best blades out there recently. Your shaves are now coming back to reality with average blades.
As I haven't posted my current SOTD info yet, I will say after the last two shaves I have Minora SS withdrawl symptoms :D.

Which vaccine did you take your first shot?....... AstraZeneca or Pfizer? I'm getting my first shot with Pfizer on the 8th of September.

Got a sample of Oaken Earth Of Mankind in today's mail a good friend kindly sent me to enable me to compare to Oaken Plein Air. Result is a great soap easy to lather thick & rich. I'm focusing at the moment on post shave feel and any irritation through all my soaps so this one passed the test soft, clean & feels awesome. It has a strong scent through out the shave & 🤣 the color worried me a bit
