Minora @ shave 16 in the Lupo 95 was not DFS. Will give it a go in some of the other modern razors but may be ready for the bin
Meta Nectar is one of those nice powdery (barbershop?) scents: A complex blend of Orange Blossom, Honey, and Vanilla; manly and mystical. Other supporting notes include: Palmarosa, Gurjum Balsam, Patchouli, Bergamot & Cedarwood.

Wipe the blade on both sides and flip it.

Pre-Shave: Hot Shower
Brush: Yaqi - Cola 22mm synthetic
Soap/Cream: Whispers from the woods - All Things Nice
Razor: Blackland - Blackbird Ti
Blade: Feather - Hi-Stainless (5)
Post-shave: Geo F Trumper - Sandalwood skin food / A&E - Hoshitsu Elixer

2 pass WTG daily shave = DFS. An ok shave, not the most efficient. The blade is a little disappointing in this razor. Shave 2 seems offer the best shave from the Feather blade. I have had better shaves with other blades.

There is a certain recognisable style and sophistication about a @TomG set up in the SOTD thread.

At least when it is not a camp shave!
Camp shaves are a welcome reminder of home when in a remote location. They also have a Wet Mess, which provides ample liquid refreshment after a long day in the field.

Razor: Vintage Gillette L1 Slim Adjustable (5)

Very.

Nice.

Pre-shave: Hot shower
Brush: TF Custom/Oumo 26mm LotusTip
Soap/Cream: APR ‘Raconteur’
Razor: Tatara Nodachi, Masamune handle
Blade: Gillette Minora (1)
Post-shave: Alum block, RR ‘Emperor’, Armaf ‘Club de Nuit’
Took quite a while to get my hands on a Nodachi with Masamune handle, but they do come up. I passed on two before the time and price was right. Delivery took 27 days from Texas and came via Japan and Brisbane! I had high expectations for this razor, so pulled out a fresh Minora and the precious tub of Raconteur for the occasion. I have a poor sense of smell, but the Raconteur is one fragrance that is strong and delightful. From the get go, the Nodachi was excellent; smooth and precise with a little less blade feel than I expected but efficiency in spades.
I knew that if I went for a second pass it would easily be BBS, and so it was. This razor is often described as aggressive, but I found it less so than my Apollo or Lupo 95 while being intuitive to handle. The Masamune handle was a little less grippy than expected, but more than adequate and I like the shorter length. I was tempted to use a Feather which is apparently recommended, but opted for the smoothness of the Minora for the maiden voyage. I'll try a Feather soon. All in all I am delighted, and look forward to really getting to know this razor. BBS indeed.

Great post - enjoyed your initial thoughts on the Nodachi. Looking forward to further updates.

Spitfire is a great soap - one of my faves.

Pre-Shave: Hot Shower
Brush: Wolf Whiskers - Earth's Core custom 30mm Maggard SHD fan
Soap/Cream: HSSC / Australian Private Reseve - Eclipse
Razor: Razorock - Lupo 95
Blade: Feather - Hi-Stainless (6)
Post-shave: HSSC / Australian Private Reseve - Eclipse AS splash & balm

2 pass WTG daily shave = DFS. Tried this blade out again. Although slightly more efficient in the Lupo 95, still only able to obtain a DFS. Will try this blade one last time in an even more efficient razor next shave. If I cannot improve the efficiency of the shave then this blade is to be discarded. Had to bowl lather this soap as the brush wouldn't fit in the tub.:)

The Soap, HSSC / Australian Private Resrerve - Eclipse. Scent strength strong off the puck, and medium once lathered, splash and balm are also medium.
Scent notes,
Top notes: Bergamot, Dried Fig, Mimosa, Cedarwood & Carnation.
Heart Notes: Cocoa, White Rum, Blond Tobacco, Russian Leather, Narcissus, Pink Pepper, Bourbon Geranium & Lavender.
Base Notes: Benzoin, Sandalwood, Civet, Oud, Amyris, Citrus & Black Musk

Immediately the scent on this soap reminded me of APR - Racontuer.
There is a reason for this, as the fragrance from Eclipse shares 8 common scent notes with Racontuer. Both Fragrances are boozy, leathery, musky, woody, and spicey. Bourbon and Rum replace Whiskey in the booze scent accord of Eclipse. Both are very masculine cold weather scents. I find Raconteur a little less in your face and a little more refined than Eclipse. The splash and balm of Eclipse is a little brighter than the soap with the initial citrus elements coming through. HSSC tallow soap formula is excellent, The splash and balm are also excellent. I don't think I would wear this one out for a date night with the Mrs, defiantly for cold night at home around the fire it's a big yes. (y)

This badger/boar Rooney really is a nice brush. The (rare) Simpson boar I used yesterday is so soft and comforting, this Rooney has a bit more backbone
