After: alum and suavecito talc

My sons long awaited toy razor came, ended up having to get something 3d printed locally but he loves it, his favourite colour and he loves the blue devil soaps to use along with it.
Hes apparently not a fan of the balms so he chose tonights talc.

Havent had a BBS shave like this in a while those 7 oclocks are great!! Forgot how noice she was.

Every time I see it I want that bowl more and more. I just wish maggards had a west coast shaving like deal for shipping and charged a flat rate. I'd probably order of them and grab this bowl. It's been sitting in my cart on my browser for weeks now, probably a month even.
I have another bowl on the way but this one keeps calling out to me. Yours is a shining example of why everyone should own one. My only concern is that I have noted that long term users of this bowl usually have problems with it becoming tarnished or the coating to wear off and I can't see myself too happy about building a lather in a dingy old copper pot with green tarnish marks all up in the inside but I am chalking this up to user error and poor maintenance on their behalf.
How long have you had yours for @TomG because it looks stunning. Is there anything particular you are doing to maintain your bowl?

At this point I feel like you are just teasing me. LOL
Bowl aside you've got some great shaves under your belt. (y)

Nice shave and unique looking brush!
I'm really behind on my Bay rum scented products. I was thinking about grabbing this one. I suspect its a faithful scent as far as Bay Rum's go.

If you want one, just pull the pin and order it, their service is great. My wife has pinched my Captain's Choice ("Tempest") bowl to store garlic on the kitchen bench. Apparently I'm only allowed to have one bowl - women just don't understand this kind of thing. Logical arguments citing plurality of pairs of shoes etc cut no ice. I'm outnumbered.

Incidentally, Brasso will keep a nice shine on your bowl, no problem. (y)

You know what you have to do right? It's time you take a few left shoes and a few right shoes leaving her with only the option of mismatched pairs lol. Explaining that this bowl is for this soap and this brush is for this bowl. Hahaha I know how well this will go though. It's nice to dream though.
You have two options here. Swap your captains choice bowl that has the garlic in it with one of her shoes and set her shoe up on the bench full of garlic or take her shoe and begin lathering up in her shoe. lol

I'm full of solutions today.
P.S. if any of this results in a black eye I take no responsibility. :p

I've heard really good things of Maggards but as per usual I quickly get out of control and exceed their cap and will have to provide a wrath of identifications to let the order proceed. I've read that's a thing too.
I tend to always order at the worst time. Before my isolation I ordered from west coast shaving and bought an omega brush that I had wanted for years... guess what happened? BAM! Omega brushes on sale. LoL.

I thought brasso was a no no in the wet shaving world and assumed it would eat through the clearcoat on the inside.

I like your solutions, I really do. I don't think I'll lather up in her shoe though. It might spoil the scent of the soap. :eek::p

How much do you have to spend to hit Maggard's cap? You're obviously a heavier hitter than I am... :unsure:

What's clearcoat? Your grandson can use exactly the same can of Brasso on the same copper bowl without noticing any difference, and so can his grandson. Don't worry about it.

Could you imagine the look of horror on her face though. LoL

The real solution is to pretend to take interest in her kitchen and then buy her a nice and fancy Garlic jar then further exclaim "I'm not going to have my beautiful wife using some lousy shaving bowl for a garlic jar! You deserve better hunny!" If you want to be a real wisenheimer get it for her on her birthday.

I don't know about being a heavy hitter but that value seems quite low but I am not sure if they enforce that as I am sure many people have bought one single product that easily exceeded that value. It's probably less of an issue than I am making it out to be. My problem at home is making sure to make my deliveries worth it. The worst thing is getting box after a box of shaving stuff each day.

hahaha fair enough. Lets chalk this one up to me being a worrywart and overthinking things as per usual. lol

Well, that was anticlimactic. Obviously wasn't expecting outstanding performance out of a mass market shave soap. Adequate shave, but the US stuff blows it out of the water. Scent kind of makes me think it should remind me of NO Two Kings, but not really. I wonder what I'm going to do with my other 5 sticks... Maybe it'll grow on me with time.

I'm really enjoying the Lupo 72. More than the 95 plate. More than the Blackbird. I may even like it more than the Rocca. Hmm, I may have with the Rocca tomorrow to compare more closely.
