"Maggard Razors requires all international orders over $150.00 to provide additional information to prevent fraud."
Ah, I was just thinking that must be recent, as I bought my Vector through Maggards, but then realised they had it heavily discounted, so I probably skated under the radar. For all the good it did: I lost heavily on the exchange rate at the time. Luckily I don't regret a penny of it.

Pre-shave: Hot water, Pears soap
Brush: CaYuen "Copper Ore" 30mm SynBad
Soap: Mystic Water - Bergamot, Cedarwood and Juniper
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: Feather Professional
Post-shave: Shower, homebrew moisturiser, La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50+
COTD: Mokha Ismaili, Yemen

This soap contains no lavender. And yet. And yet I think I like it pretty nearly as much as her Jeff's Lavender. Unheard of, but there you go. (y)(y)

Oh man you absolutely should not even give it second thought, that razor is worth it. I put myself down to be notified at maggards and west coast shaving for it. I am an idiot and not very good for looking at the best deal or lucky. I'd love to get the polished one with a stand though.
I will have to wait it out until I can afford it and it goes on sale. it's pretty much a case of if the stars and the moon aligns kinda thing.

I think that rule has been around for a very long time. maybe they just aren't enforcing it as much particularly if you aren't ordering quantities. I'd get flagged straight away. The shipping is so expensive though.

Every time I see it I want that bowl more and more. I just wish maggards had a west coast shaving like deal for shipping and charged a flat rate. I'd probably order of them and grab this bowl. It's been sitting in my cart on my browser for weeks now, probably a month even.
I have another bowl on the way but this one keeps calling out to me. Yours is a shining example of why everyone should own one. My only concern is that I have noted that long term users of this bowl usually have problems with it becoming tarnished or the coating to wear off and I can't see myself too happy about building a lather in a dingy old copper pot with green tarnish marks all up in the inside but I am chalking this up to user error and poor maintenance on their behalf.
How long have you had yours for @TomG because it looks stunning. Is there anything particular you are doing to maintain your bowl?

At this point I feel like you are just teasing me. LOL
Bowl aside you've got some great shaves under your belt. (y)
Hi @Rusty Bridges - I’ve had the bowl for approx 2 months, but picked it up second-hand. The clear coat is long gone. I maintain the bowl with a couple of specialist products - Wenol metal polish, and Renaissance Microcrystalline wax.

Off to dinner with Mrs@Holiday to celebrate fathers day
Thanks to @Mark1966 for the Single Ring she polished up nicely.
Caught me (my Adam's apple) by surprise how aggressive she is "bite me once shame on you, bite me twice shame on me"
Definitely riding the cap with this one "she bites". Might have to use a milder blade as well.
Nice 2 x pass WTG = DFS+ and only the one nick

This is true and I do enjoy doing such things... I've been considering polishing a few of my razors so maybe this is the time that way I am more confident before attacking a Vector razor.
If you do, I'd advise against polishing the surfaces facing the blade. You wouldn't want to do anything to change the geometry of the functional bits. Blackland got that exactly right.

Yeah that's why I am very hesitant to mess around with razors by polishing them. I'm bound to mess it up and as you said I think Blackland got it just right. They both seem to be out of stock at the moment and I've had to put purchases on hold so I have time to think about it but I feel like you are right.

Nice! I can't wait to get into the rotation of my soaps and using Seville again.
It's nice to see some fragrances every now and then on here too.

Wifey took the two kids out this morning, so I had time for a triple S in peace (Shower, Shit and a Shave). Father's day bliss. Been a while since I used a straight and managed two lovely relaxed passes with no nicks. Happy days.
