Pre-shave:- Hot Shower
Bowl/Scuttle:- Fine Accroutrements
Brush:- Semogue Pure Boar 1305
Soap/Cream:- APR - Raconteur
Razor/Blade:- Apollo Light (Aggr. plate) / Gillette 'The Spoiler'(1)
Post/After-shave:- 'The Ordinary' Hyaluronic Acid; Pinaud Clubman Musk

Love the blade feel of the Apollo; it's right there all the time but not in an aggressive way (if that makes sense). My lather ended up a little too watery but all in all
this was a DFS+. The Spoiler is magic, sharp and smooth; great combo.

Pre-shave: Hot water, see above + Pears soap
Brush: Forgotten Art "Southern Skies" 30mm Snow Leopard
Soap/Cream: Stirling Bergamot Lavender
Razor: Razorock Hawk V3
Blade: Feather Professional Super
Post-shave: Shower, La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 and Anthelios SPF50+

Same again: I've recycled the picture, but the sunshine didn't oblige...

Pre-shave: Warm Water
Brush: Wolf Whiskers - blueberry pie 25mm blackwolf
Soap/Cream: Noble Otter - Monarch
Razor: Homelike Shaving - Colibri
Blade: Astra Superior Stainless (2)
Post-shave: A&E - Nivea Men - 2 phase / Nivea Men Active Age Moisturiser

2 pass WTG = DFS+. A very nice daily shave. So far this is the best razor I own for getting in around the nasal area, and the bridge area above my top lip. A very agile razor, I think this is what this razors standout quality is. The 1.5mm SB plate setup is very nice. At least I am satisfied with this razor to give a decent shave for my face.

Pre: Hot shower, Proraso red pre-shave
Soap: MWF
Razor: Muhle R108
Blade: Gillette Platinum
Brush: Omega
Post: Alum, Thayer's Witchhazel toner, Geo F.Trumper Spanish Leather skin food

This was the second time I used the Gillette Platinum and I liked it lot, even more than the GSB, which I have been using for a while now.

GFT skin food is a sample that I bought from Maggard. It's a decent aftershave I just wish the scent was stronger.

Pre-shave: warm shower
Bowl/Scuttle: Timeless shave bowl grey
Brush: Semogue 820 - red handle
Soap/Cream: Traditional Barbers Shave Cream with several drops of glycerine and Peppermint essential oil
Razor/Blade: 1940's Aristocrat and Astra SP
Post/After-shave: T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel, Nivea Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm
Fragrance: none
Passes: 3-pass on face, 2-pass on neck

love splashing water on my face after shaving when I've made a peppermint oil infused shave cream lather - cool and refreshing and awesome in equal parts

DFS all the way baby :woot:

  • Blade: Astra SP
  • Brush: Oumo 28mm TH
  • Soap: Zingariman - The Nomad

Like I said previously, this razor clamps the blades really flat. Shaving at my regular 35 degrees, almost feels like scraping a straight razor at 90 degrees. Super scrapey and tuggy. You really need to ride the cap and shave at a much shallower angle, like about 20-25 degrees. Sweet spot is very narrow, but when you hit it, you're rewarded with baby smooth skin on 2 passes with some minor buffing on some trouble areas. You're sweating bullets the whole time though, so it's definitely not for cruise control shaving.

I‘m looking (was) forward to putting mine through its paces. I’ll remember your warning though when I do.
