Last couple shaves

IMG-20210327-123350.jpg

Brush: TF Customs Clear/Black/Yellow 26mm 2 Band Finest
Razor: Merkur 37C // Leaf Razor
Blade: Gillette Nacet (4)
Pre: Shower
Soap: Squadron Soaps Dispatch Rider
Post: Nivea 2 Phase Post Shave Lotion // Thayers Aloe & Lemon Witch Hazel // AP Reserve Escentials Restoration Serum + The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 30 ml
WTG, ATG, XTG, Touchups = DFS // DFS

Two contrasting shaves as the 37C worked great but the Leaf not as good on my face as the Nacet blades felt super harsh and left me with a few nicks and irritation on my neck :( Head shave ended up nice so can't really complain as the 37C touched up the missed spots leaving me happy...

Stay Safe & Have a Great Remainder to the Weekend!

Pre: Proraso Red
Brush: Semogue Boar
Cream: Extro Bay Rum (sample)
Razor: Feather SS folding
Blade: Kai Pro Touch MG
Post: Alum/ Alexander Simpson Bay Rum

I'm getting more comfortable with the Feather razor however getting an even shave on both sides of the face remains a challenge: the left side, where I use a left hand grip for, does not turn out to be as smooth as the right side.
I do like your excellent choice of hot pink for your shavette. (y):p

It says "Gillette" on the end of it, so it must belong to @Mark1966. An admission of guilt, perhaps?

I'm sure I noticed this one in your den -

just the thing for a cold Tassie morning?

For goodness sake get yourself a bloody great Tasmania made Scotch Whisky or Cognac and have a couple of good belts will keep your whole body warm enough, you don’t need this bull crap Gillette heat cartridge razor.

Pre-shave: Hot Shower
Brush: TF Customs - custom 26mm timber wolf
Soap/Cream: Hub City Soap Company - Aegyptus
Razor: Karve CB - SS SB (F)
Blade: Gillette - Silver Blue (6)
Post-shave: Floid - Suave / A&E - skin food nourishing cream

2 pass WTG + touchups = DFS+ daily shave. Forgot I had the matching splash, either way the Floid was an excellent paring thanks in part to the musk.
Catching up on my sotd's, now only a day behind.

Time to fess up about your secret cartridge razor collection.:D
SHHHH!

Ugh, I've come across some silly ideas in my time, but that is sillier than most. I find it somewhat disturbing that @Mark1966 has obviously devoted some time towards tracking down such an atrocity...

Oh yeah, silly as. Going from the sublime to the ridiculous.

These sort of things come up in my FB feed - the joys of posting about REAL razors ...

Pre-shave: Warm water
Brush: Wolf Whiskers - custom 30mm tuxedo
Soap/Cream: A&E - Revolution
Razor: Karve CB - SS SB (F)
Blade: Personna - Platinum (2)
Post-shave: A&E - Revolution AS splash / A&E skin food nourishing cream.

2 pass WTG daily shave = DFS+. Great shave. Personna blades are a winner in this razor combo. A&E skin food I have been trialling. For myself and my skin it's the best balm I have used. No greasiness and leaves the face plump and hydrated.

  • Razor: Muhle Rocca R96
  • Blade: Dorco ST300
  • Brush: Oumo 26mm Hook Fan
  • Soap: Barrister & Mann - Rhapsody
  • Post: Nivea Sensitive
Bright fruity and floral. Just the right balance of flowery, sweet and tart. It's everything I hoped AE Kaizen would have been but better. It does work better as a spring scent, probably why it was released now for all the northerners and not us. I love it. This is exactly the kind of soap I auto-purchase, and this time, I'm glad I did.

  • Razor: Alpha Shaving Co - Outlaw
  • Blade: Shark SS
  • Brush: Oumo 28mm TH
  • Soap: Declaration Grooming - Weinstrasse

Like smelling the bottom of a wine barrel after it's been emptied. Definitely wine forward, with some woody notes and a hum of something sweet in the background. Like a white wine fougere. I noticed Chatillon Lux won a bunch of awards for this scent back in 2019. Definitely has something else going on other than just wine though. Look forward to exploring it further.

  • Razor: Henson AL-13 - Medium
  • Blade: Feather HS
  • Brush: Yaqi Moka 26mm 2-Band
  • Soap: Zingariman - The Gatherer
  • Post: Nivea Sensitive
And then there's The Gatherer. Scent strength low, which I don't mind. I didn't want it to be 'in your face' smelling of cut peaches. It starts off as a musky peach and then as you lather it, turns more into a peachy musk. The musk notes bloom out when the soap is used. Sego base performs as usual.

Post: Black XS by Paco Rabanne Cologne // Stirling Soap Co. Unscented Balm // The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 30 ml
WTG, ATG, XTG, Touchups = DFS+

A great start to the working week and more reason why I need a decent adjustable in my den as this mornings shave was effortless! This one will do the job but it still feels cheap and the doors/knob tend to be sticky so doubt it will last with continued use...? :(

Stay Safe & Have a Great Week! :)
