I think you should ask for your money back. Or sue them.Yesterdays balm didn't make me look 20 years younger, so no free tubs.

Made sure that the brush was very dry to start and then slowly added water until the lather was a good consistency, this is a thirstyNone of that 'artisan' nonsense
Why the quotation marks, is their artisanal status up for debate?
I presume that Stirling is technically 'artisan' too (made in a traditional way by someone who is skilled with their hands) but it doesn't have some of that finickiness that many artisan products seem to have and we simply accept because they are artisan.
Getting too old and grumpy to accept rubbish just because it is 'artisan'

And also @Mark1966 can be a real cheeky smartass middle age old FART!Getting too old and grumpy
The alterntive is soaps that meet 'commercial appeal'. If I make a soap I want it to be different, and isn't that why wet shavers buy artisan soap because they're looking for something different. Rather than 'finicky' I'd prefer 'demands a little more attention so you get to appreciate the benefits'. Besides, most of us wet shavers have enough soaps that on the days you want a quick, straight forward soap, you've more than likely got one.simply accept because they are artisan.
you know it! Hand the man a stick of 'Arko'.Getting too old and grumpy
Stirling is artisan enough for me: it even says so on the lid of the tub. It does benefit from having a bit of time spent on building up the lather, but so does any decent soap.I presume that Stirling is technically 'artisan' too
