Pre-shave:- Shower
Brush:- Restored Ever-Ready 150 with 22mm Silvertip Knot
Soap:- Razorock - Black Label - Classic Barbershop Fougere
Razor:- Rocket HD
Blade:- Vintage Schick Super Stainless (1)
Aftershave:- Razorock - Black Label - Classic Barbershop Fougere
Razorock triple milled soaps have received mixed reviews online but after todays performance I'll be trying a few more
The Rocket HD provided an awesome 2 x WTG = DFS++ shave. A solid and well balanced razor both smooth and efficient

Preshave: coldwater

Soap: Shaver Heaven Desperado - ahh; ya just gotta love the smell of leather. Saddles, vests, tool bags; yum.

Brush: cheap $3 synth in an even cheaper balsa type wood handle. Nasty but works

Blade: 6/8 full wedge. Got a few pit marks & doesn't look a million bucks but effective. Engraving is so small (or I'm so old) but made by somebody & Sons in Sheffield

Postshave: cold water & Alum block

Using a full wedge is like meeting the silent assassin. You can feel it cutting but the familiar tink of whiskers cutting isn't there. Begin to wonder if it really is cutting but definitely is. Another good shave made even better by the wafting of leather scent at 30 minutes post shave.

Brush: Wild West Brushworks "Nebula" + Maggard 24mm SHD badger
Razor: ATT Windsor Pro
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Lather: Barrister and Mann - Electric Mayhem - Soap
Post Shave: Barrister and Mann - Electric Mayhem - Balm

Picked up this new set today, and I could not help myself, I had to try it out. It will save me time tomorrow morning anyway with no need to shave before work.

Very interesting scent, I like it, very hard to describe. There's yuzu and plum for sure. It does make you want to go out!

SOTD – SUN 10 JUL 2022
Belated Sunday shave post with Wickham Soap Co. 1912 - “Russian Leather”. The Wickham 1912 is a vegetal based soap recipe made in UK and comes in 140g tubs (4.9oz) at GBP14.50 (before VAT) which equates to a “Good” Bang-for-Buck value.

SOTD-20220710-setup.png

Shave Result: Wickham 1912 soap has a firm texture but was easy to scoop a half teaspoon (3.0gm) of soap and pressed it into my lather bowl. Performed my normal lathering procedure and added 16ml of water during the build. Produced a rich, creamy, med-high density lather. The lather performance was excellent all round, I classify it as a solid Tier 2 soap. The scent smells exactly like the Imperial Leather soap to me, scent strength was 6/10. The DSC T7 SS head is inspired by RazoRock Mamba 70 but has a scalloped top cap which gives me a medium-mild aggressive shave. Overall a smooth DFS, although did not get that close around the lower neck, I aired on the side of caution.

Back to the green theme for the rest of the week...

I just love the story about how the scent was created. Will just sent Shawn Maher a Spotify playlist - make me a scent! Mad lads!
That's actually a brilliant idea. Or at least potentially so. I'm not familiar with any of those artists or tracks, but I soon will be. How do you feel about the scent? I have yet to find a B&M scent that I'd keep, but if it's concocted by SM that could change.
