SOTD – SUN 24 JUL 2022
Sunday shave features Stirling Soap Co. - “Faskally”. Stirling soaps have a Tallow based soap recipe with renowned exceptional value. Faskally is a limited release soap in 3oz tub and scent is described as: “Woodsy, aromatic, citrus, earthy and spicy are the words that describe this scent. It has top notes of grapefruit, orange blossom and sage. The middle is made up of nutmeg and pimento and the base is vetiver, oakmoss and amber. Inspired by Tom Ford Grey Vetiver.”
Shave Result: Stirling soap has a soft texture, I scoop my normal half teaspoon of soap and spread it around my lather bowl. Performed my standard lathering procedure and added 12.5ml of water during the build. The resulting lather was as expected a lovely rich, creamy, med-high density lather. The lather performance was excellent all round, I classify it as a solid Tier 2 soap. The light scent had a smokey spicy ashtray type vibe, scent strength was 4/10. The Leaf with three blades gave mild easy going shave. Overall result was a wonderful smooth, clean, close DFS and nearly BBS.
