At least it is a pleasant mild and low irritant scent with above average lather. I'd rate soap performance above Col. Conk, and most Razorock and PAA bases
Have to get beyond the initial frothy explosion and slowly hydrate and beat out the bubbles but the end result is a nice coconut lather
Must admit the donut ring has only grown a few millimetres.

My first 100% straight shave... Took a long time, but slow and steady got me there albeit with a couple of small nicks on the chin.
And if I do say so myself, a DFS!

Even with the great slick lather produced by the brush and soap, the razor required a good deal of patience and attention to achieve a BBS in two and a half passes.
 
SOTD – Thu 10 Feb 2022

A belated Aussie Wednesday shave with Blue Devil Shave Co – SUMMERTIME BREEZE, a Tallow base recipe produced in Devonport, Tasmania and only scented with essential oils. Scent description: “Think of a nice cool summer breeze, smell the fresh flowers and fauna in the heat of the day. Profile: Lavender, Bergamot, Rosemary, Cedarwood, Orange, Litsea, Tea Tree and Menthol”.

Shave Video

Shave Result: I rate Blue Devil as one of my Top Tier soap bases, so top lather and performance are a given. I get a very pleasant fresh floral green type aroma with some mild menthol cooling, scent strength is a mild 3/10 for this “Sensitive Skin Formula” soap, IMO if not sensitive it would be worth getting the stronger “Full Strength Formula” version. Always a pleasure using the Twig, overall a lovely easy going smooth DFS with zero weepers and no irritations.

Nice triple milled soap but no match for the power of Tabac!! Feather is simply an amazing blade, especially in this razor but they dont last long at all. This was only my second shave with this setup and by the last pass (the most important ATG pass) it felt rough as hell and was binned.
