Brush: OUMO Titanium Compass with OUMO Synthetic knot.
Post: Stirling Christmas Eve Aftershave Splash


I bought this shavette to use the scales on a Gold Dollar SR but unfortunately they were too small. Stirling’s Christmas Eve scent is fantastic and highly recommended if you are thinking of buying it.

'Ware the Ides of March...
 
This morning's shave:
  • Revisor 6-0035, 6/8, full hollow, Dutch point, dressed in Bocote timber scales and maintained on diamond pasted balsa strops.
  • Tabac tallow stick soap.
  • Chinese generic synthetic brush (face lathered).
Result was a DFS+.

The SR is resting on its custom handmade kid-leather pouch.

It's not to hard to grind back a Gold Dollar blade to a shorter length.

Good point. I might look into that. The alternative was to drill another pin hole a little further back on the shank but your solution would be easier.

Blade:- Wizamet (3)
Aftershave:- Southern Witchcrafts - Druantia

Zenith Manchurian has a dense knot with good scritch.
Southern Witchcraft reminded me of Mammoth soap base because it went to a thick paste on the puck as soon as I started loading but caught it in time and loaded like a cream instead of soap
Druantia is like sunrise in a woody forest experienced through aftershave. Started of a bit earthy (moss & fungus) and as it dried down transitioned through to a delightful lightly spiced (orange, sandalwood & ginger) green forest scent interspersed with cedar, rosewood, cypress and myrrh. Definitely two thumbs up :)(y)(y)
