I spent half an hour or so honing this razor on my 12K Naniwa yesterday, taking my time, and added lots of stropping on a paddle strop.
One other change was that I used Kapton tape, which wears much better than electrical tape and doesn't foul the whetstones, also it is much thinner so more
like using no tape. For the first time ever, I experienced what a good edge should feel like as the Blue Wonder gave me a superb shave with none of the tugging/jumping that
has caused cuts before. A complete shave leaving only a tiny area below my nostrils and on my lower lip line to tidy up. This morning I stropped and cleaned the
BW some more, and it is really popping hairs off my leg like I've never seen before. Now I know what can be achieved, I will be spending some more time touching up my
other two straights. A very satisfying shave, and another large step on the journey.
