Todays shave was with the original configuration as purchased from Todras and it was awesome, There is very little difference in shave quality (end result) between all the different combos and, as expected, most notable differences are in weight and head thickness. 0.68 OC slightly more aggressive than 0.68 scalloped. TiSlim is smoother and just as efficient without being the slightest bit aggressive.

TiSlim OC may be the "baby's bear's porridge"

Mixing things up a bit with this glorious weekend's shave. I had almost forgotten the DRH was such a lather bomb. I had enough lather left over to shave the wife, cat and dog and still leave enough for the shower.

The Mergress XL is possibly my favourite razor; very smooth and efficient too on setting 3. The SV bath soap comes in large 300 gm bars, and was on sale a while ago so I stocked up. It lasts for ages, and is very moisturising.

Taal volcano bumped a bit early this morning so we’re on Alert Level 3 as we live about 20 kms away. Hopefully, we’ll see volcanic lightning tonight.

Good for about 5 shaves with the Rocca as super sharp but gets tuggy after that.

The Grooming Dept pre-shave has rave reviews in some quarters but I’ve noticed absolutely zero difference versus simply washing my face. Maybe it works best with cheap shaving soaps but it’s just wasted money IMO.
