Pre-shave: Hot water, Pears soap
Brush: Forgotten Art "Southern Skies" 30mm Snow Leopard
Soap: Castle Forbes Lavender
Razor: Blackland Sabre
Blade: Personna GEM
Post-shave: Shower, homebrew moisturiser, La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50+, Stirling Bergamot Lavender EDT
COTD: Mandheling Sumatra

I've been enjoying the honeymoon with the Sabre, the shaves have got even better than I first realised as I've gained more experience at finding the best angle. For the record, I think that's a bit shallower than I've been accustomed to with other razors. Now I'll put it down for a while, as I'm flying out tomorrow with the Vector already packed in my wash bag.

SOTD – 03 APR 2022
Sunday shave with Geo.F.Trumper (GFT) – EUCRIS shaving cream. GFT is an old English company that has been around since 1875. Eucris is a classic manly scent and as an EDT fragrance was launched way back in 1912, scent profile: Top notes are Black Currant, Caraway and Coriander; middle notes are Lily-of-the-Valley and Jasmine; base notes are Oakmoss, Sandalwood and Musk.

Shave Result: I placed a good sized dollop of Eucris cream into my bowl then used my normal lathering method: “Dry cream+Damp brush+Add spray water slowly” which produced a medium density creamy slick lather. Eucris is wonderful masculine Floral Woody Musk fragrance that is just classy, scent solid medium strength 6/10. For me the Yaqi “Tile” head shaves just above medium aggression/efficiency and has a bit of blade feel, overall gave me a clean DFS, no irritations.

Have been intrigued by the SLOC and DOC design but not had opportunity to test one.
Seeing many wet shavers on other forums exclusively using double open combs in SOTD I bit the bullet and bought one.
It was a very different experience to other razors. Gave a very close BBS in problem areas others struggle with unless they are on the aggressive side of comfortable and only DFS+ in areas most others cope with
I am sure the shave will improve over the week as I try different handles and find the sweet spot. I think the trick with DOC design is if you are scraping lather the blade is in contact with the skin.
It was difficult to tell whether it was the blade or pot metal providing the feedback - a bit tinny, but assume it was the blade providing plenty of feedback
All round a wonderful shave and another RazoRock razor I would gladly recommend as value for money
