Pre-shave: Hot water, Pears soap
Brush: Yaqi Rainbow Pony
Soap: Stirling Bergamot Lavender
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: Schick Proline
Post-shave: Shower, La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 and Anthelios SPF50+, Oxford & Cambridge cologne

Same setup as the last few days (and the next couple of weeks at least), and still struggling with the water here. I normally go for three passes (sometimes more), but here I'm struggling to make it through two, so DFS at best. I have a fine shagreen hide by the next morning. I haven't seen a water analysis for the local dihydrogen monoxide solution, but it doesn't compare to the rainwater I have at home. Also much more prone to weepers here, I've had to break out the styptic twice now.

One-pass DFS. And it's off to walk along the banks of the Charles River with Rosie.

Thank you @SpeedyPC. Considering that we've only been together for less than a month, I think we're bonding pretty well. Sadly, I still can't break her of the habit of chasing birds. I tell her, "That's a bird and you're a dog, and dogs can't fly." But she doesn't listen.

She is still a pup, takes time for her to stop chasing birds. Otherwise, she probably likes to see them flying I guess.

From Rosie's point of view, I think you might be missing the point. Duh, humans... :banghead:

Pre: Proraso red pre-shave cream
Brush: TF Customs Woodrot / Rhodium
Soap: Henri et Victoria - Terre d'Henri
Razor: Rockwell T2 #6
Blade: Minora #3
After: Alum block, Stray Whisker After Balm, TABAC aftershave

After a few days growth, cranked the T2 up to 11 ............(11 = maximum #6 on the dial;)) for a 3 pass BBS

- Meissner Tremonia Dark Limes soap
- Yaqi Aqua 26mm SilverTip
- Karve Overlander
- Feather blade + shim
- Saponifico Varesino Aromatic Fern Aftershave Balm

The Karve Overlander clamps the blade extremely close to the edge so the shave is very smooth, especially ATG, but I found it equivalent to the Gamechanger 68 or As-D2 in efficiency though requiring a steeper blade angle (ie handle closer to the face).

I tried it with a Super Iridium first, then a Kai, and then had an ahah moment when I tried the Feather blade. I’ve tended to avoid Feathers as they tend to drag a little especially on the first shave. The Feather is transformed in the Overlander though, and I could easily quickly shave with this combo every day before rushing to work. Unbelievably smooth, and an easy DFS+. I wanted to shoot for a BBS today though so tried a shim (under the blade) for the first time ever. No weepers, and just a tiny tingle under the chin from the alum block. The post-shave face feel is amazing with the Overlander. Very impressed. (Note: I have wire-like, flat lying old bloke’s whiskers so YMMV of course.)

Pre-shave: Face scrub + Shave Oil
Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia Tuxedo 24mm
Soap: B&M Seville
Razor: Feather Artist Club SS Folding
Blade: Feather ProGuard (1)
Post-shave: Alum Block, Nivea Aftershave Balm and some of the Missus' face stuff.
Coffee: Natural Ethiopian “Tega & Tula” from b3 Coffee

Finally pulled the trigger on an Artist Club SS after seeing it an an insane price ($80AU) on Amazon. So far so good, only one nick and a CCS++/DFS- shave from the first go.
Not completely sold on the ProGuard though, found it slightly tuggy but am putting that down to poor technique with the SS.

I didn't care much for the Proguard in the SS. Both Feather Professional and Schick worked much better for me.
