A new Artisan soap from Canada, and an absolute cracker. Lovely fresh northern hemisphere forest scent, and simply outstanding performance and post-shave.
The P74 is still as sharp as ever on its 10th outing (no surprises there).
The Crowne Co aftershave tonic is impressive - alcohol, witch hazel, glycerin and neem oil for the mug, and a unique yet old school scent. Very nicely done.

Every time I manage to half-convince myself that I'm being a bit precious in running down my stocks of artisan soaps in favour of top-tier milled soaps such as this, I get a shave like today's to confirm that I'm right.

Incidentally, in case those here who know my location are curious about the body of water in the background of my pic, it's actually cloud...

You might want to add Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Fragrance-Free moisturising cream an hour before bed, only during the winter season ;)

Very impressed by the Weishi and Cloud blade on 2 days growth provided an absolutely perfect 1 x WTG = DFS+ and went XTG just because I was enjoying it so much.
I can confidently handover to my mate and expect him to enjoy the wet shaving experience.
Might have been the soap that improved the experience today

Chicago Grooming Co. / Oleo Soapworks - El Caballero
This scent is a bridge between Bay Rum and gentleman's cologne in our classic aftershave
Scent notes: Bergamot, basil leaf, musk, oakmoss, white patchouli, amber

The aftershave provided a nice sting somewhere between bay rum burn and alcohol sting like a subtle long lasting sting without burn :eek:
Ingredients: SDA 40b, Hamamelis Virginiana Water (Witch Hazel), Allantoin, DL-Panthenol, Silk Amino Acids, Tocopherol Acetate, Vegetable Glycerin, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree Oil), Aloe Vera

A dozen shaves in and the boar still has some phunk to it(y)

Too early for me to grab the scent profile, it's a very weird complicated scent on my nose.

I can smell Ginger, Coconut (a little weak), Lime, and Sandalwood, however, I have no idea what's Tiare Flower and Tahitian Vanilla. Otherwise, I can't smell vanilla or something, because, the Ginger and Sandalwood both clash like a crazy weird smell along with Lime. As I said it's a very weird complicated scent and smells like crazy, I really can't explain a crazy smell in a good way.

Besides, I'm keeping this in my den.

I can see why @Nanook recommended Cloud blades they are a quality performer for the price < 15c each
