Noble Otter Two Kings Soap/Splash

This blade takes the BB to another level in-regards to efficiency, also surprises me just how much the BB tames the feather

I think Two Kings has to be my most favouritest of the NO line (apart from Hamami, which SWMBO has verboten in this household). It's a shame NO have "retired" that line.

Shave Result: I get top performance from Moon Soaps and the lather generated was rich and creamy medium density. The scent is a cheerful warm aroma, a good Winter scent (the scent reminds me of Aegyptus from Hub City), scent strength 4/10. Overall a smooth clean shave from the VB JR and the Dorco Prime HQ blade.

Reno update.......
We ripped out the old briquette burner which was a built in. We removed the brick enclosure/chimney facade but were able to maintain the brick wall behind. I tiled the wall with a 'stone like' printed tile. I've tiled splashback tiles before but this is my first full wall. Pretty happy with the outcome. We replaced the cypress floor in half of the old house with brush box which also extended into the new extension. The floor was finished in hard wax oil.

That's exactly what I want to do to the wall behind my wood heater. The missus won't do it though. I might have to show her this pic and see if I can change her mind.

geez didnt realize this was retired, everyone I know that has used it loves it.. guess I better keep using this one sparingly
It's still available for now, it's just that NO have announced that they're no longer buying in supplies for that line, so once they've run down their stock of ingredients and labels, it'll be gone. Maybe other people don't like it as much as I did...

Huh, say what, unobtanium?, what are we talking about?

Need to buy, buy, buy - just tell me what!

Pre-shave: Hot flannel, Pears soap
Brush: CaYuen "Watermelon" 28mm AP G5A
Soap: Vintage Colgate
Razor: Blackland Sabre
Blade: Blue Star GEM (carbon)
Post-shave: Shower, Castle Forbes Lavender balm, homebrew moisturiser, La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50+, Oxford & Cambridge cologne
COTD: Mocha Matari, Yemen

This soap is one of two Colgate samples @Sticky sent last year (thanks! (y) :)) This one Is the remainder of a very crusty cup soap that was super-crumbly until I rehydrated it with just a drop or two of water. I don't know for sure how old it is, my guess is 70 or 80 years, but it could easily be more. It still lathers up just fine, and a light scent lingers. It's easy to see why some people get obsessive about collecting old stock of this.

I'm not a fan of it.

I bought it ages because I'd heard so many people rave about it but I found it too flowery for my tastes.

Doesn’t matter, I like the Noble Otter Two Kings. Everybody has a different scent opinion about it, either you hate it or you love it.

I still have it in my weekly rotation as I don't hate it as such, but I'd not buy it again if it was still available when what I have runs out. Monach on the other hand, is definitely one of my all time favourites.
