Soap: Pb Bay Lime
Brush: TF KBBB
Razor: Gillette Slim (7)
Blade: Polsilver (Brown - 1)
Superb shave with the Slim.

The deck is one of our favourite parts of the build. It's magic to sit out there in the evening with a drink. We had to remove several trees next to the old house to allow the build and we were worried we would lose the prolific bird life that used to hang around in those trees but we're delighted they are still there.

Pre-shave: Hot flannel, Pears soap
Brush: Troycraft "Opalesque" 28mm AP G5C
Soap: Stirling - Campania
Razor: Blackland Sabre
Blade: Blue Star GEM (carbon) (y) @Sticky
Post-shave: Shower, Castle Forbes Lavender balm, homebrew moisturiser, La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50+, Oxford & Cambridge cologne
COTD: Mocha Matari, Yemen

This soap is a bit of a change for me, and it turns out that I like it. It puts me in mind of one of those classic English bath soaps I had decades ago, maybe a Penhaligon...

Gotta love these samples from Artisan Arcade, they're generous enough to give a good number of shaves, but cheap enough to get plenty so you don't get bored.

Shave Result: Bare Man is a firm but pliable soap, so easy to slice a small portion off the puck (about 1.25gm) and squashed it into the bottom of my bowl for lathering. Even though Bare Man soap contains Olive Oil it was easy to lather up and produced a lovely rich creamy, medium dense stable lather. IMO the lather is an excellent performer, this soap is a great vegan option. Lather scent was a lovely fresh minty forward eucalyptus aroma, scent strength 6/10. The Henson Mild V2 felt a bit more efficient the V1 that I remember and gave me an awesome shave.

That timber decking looks so spacious and relaxing! You are definitely gonna enjoy that for a very long time.

This blade was struggling a bit towards the end. For some reason I get much more work out of the Personna stainless blades, but the variety is nice.

Yeah, those carbon blades don't last as long. The good thing with them is they are smooth from the first shave where the stainless can be a little rough for the first couple, if you don't hand strop, but give a smooth thereafter for quite a few shaves. They're not worth seeking out but good to try.

I find carbon blades are easily extended a few shaves with a palm strop
