Shave of the Day Thread - 2023

I used to have a Kent brush just like that (or at least very similar) back in the early '80s and loved it. Unfortunately some rectum half-inched it while I was living in a shared household in North London. They say the reason why the sun never set on the British Empire was because God couldn't trust an Englishman in the dark... :(
Arrgh - that's a real shame :(

Staying with my weekend setup for today, so can't be bothered with a picture. I'm pleased to be able to say that now my brush has broken through the top crusty layer of this soap, I'm now getting that true Yardley scent at proper strength. Not that it was ever that full-on in the first place...

That piece of plastic or cellophane they put over the surface of the soap obviously doesn't do very much.

I read your post initially @Holiday as 'last shave for a few weeks', glad it was only posts not shave you were talking about.
Didn't shave after leaving Aussie soil but a visit to Lorenzo Lygon Hairdressers sorted out the 3 weeks growth with some Proraso and a shavette

Brush: TroyCraft "Firestorm" 28mm badger
Razor: 1928 Genco Geneva
Soap: Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - Cavendish
Splash: Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements - Cavendish

A couple of firsts here. First time with my new @TroyTools shaving brush. Thanks Mate, it's not only fantastic to look at, it's fantastic to use (y)

Also, first time using Cavendish. I've been wanting to try this one for so long now but it's been hard to find where both the soap and the splash has been available at the same time. Phoenix scents have been very hit and miss with me to the point where I'm not going to buy anymore of them however, this one is definitely a hit.
