I had a very welcome visit today from the postie.
My shave tonight was sensational.
Brush: Inexpensive well broken in boar.
Soap: Cella Red. I really can see why they have been making soap since the late 1890's. A tradition simple formula with Tallow. It took plenty of water and was great. Skin felt good after as well. I got a 1 kg block as it was not significantly more expensive than a small tub. When my wife saw the block she suggested I might need to get some more incase. She has heard, and understands the shave apocalyps. 1 Kg is about double the cost for about six times more soap. I couldn't give a rats about scent but this is pleasant and is very mild. Bagged in 100g lots and now in the freezer.
The razor: A GEM Streamline. - Wow!! No pressure needed at all. 1 pass with a couple of touch ups and I was done. The design of the head and the blade exposure gave such a supreme comfortable shave. The razor is quite aggressive if you forget what you are holding. I didn't forget.
Post: Isopropyl alcohol splash
Rinse then 3 drops of Olive oil on my palms and spread on my face. Thanks for the suggestion @alfredus all that time ago.

Wait, you can buy a 1kg soap? How did I not know that…

The colours in @Holiday's Kakadu Gold brush look fairly similar to me, so I'd say that's a Yes. (y) :D

The finish on this CaYuen brush looks OK in this picture, but it's nowhere remotely close to the quality of Troy's.

After buying several handles from different makers, I've found that too. There is nothing out there that compares to how good Troy's brush handles are. I've stopped looking anywhere else.

Same here.
Thanks for the kind words and support Gents, much appreciated (y) :)

PS. If I don't have the colour you want, Ill go buy it, or I'll make it, as I've done recently.
Stand by for a new custom brush next week (blank is curing right now)

The next one I have in mind is a black and white one that you have made previously. I'm just hoping you still have it or can knock up one similar.

I'll be in touch in a couple of weeks when I get paid.

Pre-shave: Hot shower
Brush: Maggards 26mm SHD two band badger
Soap: A&E ‘Kaizen'
Razor: Bleckmann's ‘Magnetic’ 7/8
Strop: DCBlades Roo/Cotton
Post-shave: Osma Alum block, Fine ‘Italian Citrus’, Mont Blanc ‘Explorer’
Another straight put through the diamond pasted balsa strops; another fine result. A couple of tiny nicks today,
but managed 99% coverage after a little technique tweak of rolling the blade away from my face in a scooping action
on the chin and under nose areas, that worked well.
