Today's soap and AS are a kind and welcome gift from @Holiday (y)(y) for whom this has been a sort of signature for some time. For those who don't know the story, Doc Holliday was a colourful 19th century American dentist, gunslinger and gambler. The scent is powerful and masculine: "...a classy scent reminiscent of Victorian times and something our outlaw hero Doc Holiday might have bought off the back of a stage coach that just arrived from back East..."

I like it a lot. The aftershave proved to be too much for Mme G however, who wrinkled her nose and said "yuck". Then suggested I go and chop some firewood. :ROFLMAO: I'll get to continue using the soap though... (y)

Wish I could get excused that easily. Might have to try Hamami :ROFLMAO: o_O :sneaky:

Pre-shave: Hot flannel, Pears soap
Brush: CaYuen "Copper Ore" 30mm DScosmetic G7
Soap: P&B Imperial Rum
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: Schick Proline
Post-shave: Shower, TND witch hazel, homebrew moisturiser, La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF50+ Invisible Fluid
COTD: Sulawesi Blue

A new soap for me, pretty much a stab in the dark for a winter scent, and I'm pleased to be able to say it's a success. It's been a while since I used any P&B, and I'd forgotten just how well it performs.

I had the same experience post changeover with the Spitfire. It is REALLY good soap, not just a great scent

Soap: Cella sample
Brush: Paladin
Razor: S.K. Colling & Co.

Lovely shave this morning. I had been eyeing off a Boker Elite Carbon for some time as I really enjoy my vintage Boker blades and wanted to add a modern Boker to the collection. @bald as told me S.K. Colling & Co use Boker blanks so what a perfect solution, modern Boker steel and an Australian produced razor.
After procrastinating an appropriate amount of time and several conversations with @bald as he ended up selling me his razor. It even came with a fresh ‘bald as’ edge - perfect.
I had been tempted once or twice when other members were talking about Cella to buy the bulk 1kg block of Cella but the thought of Almond scent always put me off. A sample of Cella enclosed with the razor from @bald as confirmed my fears. Cella was very nice to use but why on earth would you want your shave soap to smell like wedding cake icing? :)
So……shaves with the Proserpine Razor can only get better……. :)
