Well gents my SKX009k has arrived :) gotta say, wasn’t a big Pepsi bezel fan at all but it’s growing on me-

I have a blue nato on the way for this guy, I find it really odd that these take a 22mm nato but the monsters take a 20mm..

Thanks enabler!

See my strategy is to ask enough questions here that it is gone before I can buy it!

What do others think about this one?

Success!

It has sold and I missed out.

Did I do the wrong thing? Should I have jumped on it?

I do feel kind of disappointed ...

I don’t really feel comfortable enough to advise people to spend their money.
But I can say that omega seamaster in general don’t speak to me.

I like the tuder aesthetics atm for some reason.

The reverso aren’t bad either

I’m a big fan of the sea master personally and being in a position where you can seriously consider one I think it’s a fairly low risk to pick one up on the secondary market, assuming its genuine, getting your money back out of it dosnt seem to be a problem if you get a reasonable price on one-the same can’t be said of lower end offerings.

Oh dear, it might still be available -

I just wish I knew more about watches. Missed some great deals on razors in the early days as I vacillated!

Good deal? Bad deal? Caution, watch out for? Oh these are so complicated :)

I think it has gone - but a good learning process - I need to do some research as I think I might end up with something like this ...

i wouldn’t fear missing out bud, they are a very popular model and in a purchase that size you have to feel comfortable.
I love the research phase of a purchase:)

FOMO is real

Might have to sell some razors and convert to a watch :)

BTW - missed you today mate :(

FOMO is all too real. If you like that particular look, you can get it from any number of other brands, in either mechanical or quartz, for way less, if you simply want a given aesthetic and for functional reasons.

The only reason to vacillate on a purchase like this, is being a collector who muses "Hmm, could I flip this later and not lose too much"?

Or a boring accountant who is basically tight!

I’m amazed how much the Pepsi aspect of the SKX009 has grown on me, Really love the splash of colour.

No idea of price - my guess would be early '70s?

Try searching ...

Watch Forum - http://forums.watchuseek.com/forum.php

$1243 - https://www.chrono24.com.au/omega/seamaster-quartz-new-old-stock--id8314117.htm (NOS)

$543 - https://www.chrono24.com.au/omega/seamaster-cal1430-gold-plated-quartz-midsize-watch--id8443896.htm

Just guessing!

I've just ordered an Invicta 9094ob (like the 8926ob, only blue instead of black).
I've needed a beater watch for a while, and for $66 delivered via Amazon it's a no brainer at 1/2 the price of the 8926 but still with a nh35a (Seiko) movement and 200m water resistance, even if it is an Invicta.
