I meant to add that it is an English razor and not American. I also managed to buy five unopened 10 blade packs (in great exterior [at least] condition) of vintage English "Minx" blades. Reluctant to open a pack as yet but one was half-open at one end so I couldn't resist taking one blade out. Like the packet, the wrappers are very attractive (for the 1940's) in red and white. No rust marks on any of the wrappers which is a hopeful sign on seventy years plus English-made vintage blades. I will use this pack of ten blades and either sell the other forty or else include them as bonus gifts with razors or brushes which I may sell in the future.

@Becephalus FYI http://connaughtshaving.com/ws004.html the price from eBay will cost you a lot more than going directly to the Connaught Shaving online, you can buy 10 sticks plus shipping total cost about $87 AUD ;)
 
A mate visiting the US is bringing me 4 evershave (etsy) synthetic brushes :D

- "quarter moon" knot in clear handle
- "full moon" in black handle
- white knot in clear handle
- gamechanger knot in white handle

I can't wait!!
 
Just as an aside for anyone who will understand. I visited a local photography store here in Adelaide recently and spotted an old but good condition 4 head Elinchrom floor pack with heads and one stand. For my personal pleasure I shoot 5x4 and Hasselblad in my makeshift studio area so curiosity bit and I asked "how much"? You have just got to love all those that cannot see value in vintage.
A 4 head floor pack flash kit in perfect working order for $60 with an option to return if it was unsuitable. I must admit I'm smiling :)
