What do you have in the post right now?

Another Masonic razor, this one from the Shriners.

Spring/Summer feels like it's arriving early in Sydney so figured I had better get some summer soaps ready for rotation...
Ordered a few sample pucks from Stirling Soap (Coniferous, Margaritas in the Arctic, Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo, Coconut Lime, Weekend in Malibu)

Some Feathers for a Valet.
A Valet for the Feathers.

Last night I bought a lot of Valet Autostrops on ebay. Nothing spectacular about the razors... I bought them for the boxes and the Valet blades (5 full packets and another 10 blades in original wrappers) plus an Australian made Capstan Quickstrop. Still can't find myself a decent Kapfe Star at a reasonable price, though.

You inspired me to try the Valet, that and discovering the Feathers fit. You will be able to try the original blade and compare, should be interesting. Those Kampfe Stars can be pricey, pity you missed that great deal from @Greenpike !

Yeah! Tell me about it! Saw a couple on eBay yesterday, with postage they were over a hundred bucks AU each. I would pay that, but they were pretty ordinary. I'll bide my time! When the blades I got yesterday arrive, if they're any good I'll PIF a couple to you so you can compare them yourself.

Just as an aside for anyone who will understand. I visited a local photography store here in Adelaide recently and spotted an old but good condition 4 head Elinchrom floor pack with heads and one stand. For my personal pleasure I shoot 5x4 and Hasselblad in my makeshift studio area so curiosity bit and I asked "how much"? You have just got to love all those that cannot see value in vintage.
A 4 head floor pack flash kit in perfect working order for $60 with an option to return if it was unsuitable. I must admit I'm smiling :)

Crikey!

I wouldn't recommend the Kampfe Star for the shave, but it looks good. My Valet arrived today but I'm waiting on the blades. It would be great to try a valet blade some time if you get enough good ones, thanks.

Relax I'm going to send it to NZ to get in re-plate in Rhodium when I get home from UK, I'm fully aware is Nickel Toggle before I bought it ;)

I have no idea whatsoever what you are talking about :D

I was referring to searching for a Gillette Toggle in Nickel in that list and not finding one for sale.
