Faux Futur Friday: New brush and even though it is similar to the 1305 it is different to use.First I noticed how stiff it is and in using it loads and lathers quicker, and I got a very nice slick soap today.Had the Mingshi set on 5 and with a new Polsilver it made short work of the growth,so I went XTG on cheeks for second pass and ATG on throat. One tiny weeper on voice box second pass, but otherwise an enjoyable and comfortable, smooth shave. So far am happy with the Mingshi, but always in my mind it is a clone and cheap one at that but it should last a few years especially as I am using it once a week at the most.
Enjoy the weekend gents.

Soap: Luna's Mango, Lime & Menthol
Brush: 26mm Epsilon Horse
Razor: Boker 'King Cutter'
Post: Jojoba Oil
 Not quite functioning this morning. Managed to drop the razor onto the tiles, fortunately no damage. Brush didn't smell last night with the test lather/wash but it does this morning. Hopefully that will sort with a few uses. Not quite sure how but ended up with a decent shave. Now I think, find drugs, back to bed.:dead:

I've used a Feather blade before in many different razors, but, this is my very first attempt using a Feather blade with an R41 razor :wideyed::eek::cautious:

Didn't go well?

Got distracted that I forgot to post this for yesterday: 23/03/2018
Pre-shave: Just a hot shower
Brush: Elite Razor 2-Band Badger
Soap/Cream: Grooming Department - Mallard
Razor: Timeless Bronze OC
Blade: Feather (1)
Post-shave: Trumpers Skin Food - Lime

Info dump: Normally I don't shave Fridays as I let my facial hair grow out for blade testing on Saturday night. I'm currently testing to see how a new blade copes with slightly longer facial hair. However I skipped shaving the night before and wanted to try out the Timeless again, so this shave was close to my test conditions :). I chose the Feather as it's been my favourite paired with the R41, to the point that I've been willing to do an ATG pass on my top lip thanks to the smoothness, which I haven't been tempted to do with other blades.

Shave: Great shave overall, pretty much a BBS shave. One minor weeper during my normal 2-3 passes and I thought I'd try an ATG pass to see if I could, similar to the R41. It semi-worked, got a few more minor weepers due to it and it wasn't as smooth as I'd like. I won't be trying that again until I get more familiar with the razor. Grooming Department is one of the best bases for soaps I've tried, so this is probably the best shave I'm going to get with the Timeless.

So now 3 shaves in with the Timeless Bronze OC and I feel it's a great razor. I think the Muhle R41 is more aggressive, but it's also smoother (possibly as it's not a true OC) that you can get away with a bit more. My main reason for getting the timeless is to replace the R41 for when its plating wears out and unless Muhle does an R41 head in stainless or something similar, I'll be keeping the Bronze OC (y).
