Pre: Cold water splash
Razor: GEM Flat Top Heavy
Blade: GEM SS Coated (a few)
Soap: APR General Ledger
Brush: Paladin Lotus Ebony
Post: Abbie and Grace Balm, APR General Ledger.

Reaching for the FTH I continued with the current used blade. Finding it considerably smoother than the MMCP I got daring and headed for two pass (WTG/ATG) but alas, it got too rough so went back to the standard three pass. The FTH is, for me, a much smoother shave than the MMCP that is sure though. Result was very good but three passes required and not as smooth as I would like. Might be worth trying a different blade but I can't be bothered. Besides, I have an unopened box of 100 of these! Back to a cut throat tomorrow and the foreseeable future.

Wowed yet again by the complexity of the APR scents. It's cooler here and the scent has evolved yet again becoming sweeter, more powdery. Even in the lather I can smell it change in a reduced, but similar way to dry down in the splash. With so many top shelf soaps out there these days, for me, it's down to scent that separates them and @todras has got me hook line and sinker! My only question is; how did you manage to formulate this scent when it was hot, and smelling nothing like it does now?!

I like your consistent background in your images.

Thanks. It would be nice if they were in focus occasionally but it's a case of throw it in there, grab a torch and try and get the lighting something slightly better than pathetic and snap with the phone before dashing out the door.

What do they say :) anything after a decent straight is a letdown - or is that a DE :)

No, not a DE! I had fun exploring this avenue but really, when I get the results I get from a straight why use anything else. It's just a bonus they are my favourite tool for the job. Can't fly with a disposable blade any more than you can with a straight so as travel razor it's moot. If I am fair, there are other razor/blade combo's that come close.

Yo!! @walklikeaduck (Handsome Donald Duck) I see your Kai SE blade have reach 26 shaves now, I supposed you should know by now and when do you think this blade will come to the end of life before you reach another one soon. So how many more shave do you think should reach a total number ??

Brush: Vie-Long Horse/badger
Soap: B&M Seville
Razor: Rolls Razor/Bullet tip
Blade: Gem SS (2)
Post: APR Mycroft (sample)

An interesting shave.Picked up the Rolls Razor last week and cleaned it up. The strop cleaned up better than expected and the stone, though not cracked was pitted. Cleaned up the mechanism but it doesn't work as it should. For anyone wanting to try a Rolls you need to get the Imperial no. 2 or Viscount, this is the Imperial no 1 and I wouldn't recommend it. Honed as best I could and gave it a go for half a pass before the Bullet tip came to the rescue for a proper shave.
Finished with the APR Mycroft which is a great scent, I swear I caught a whiff of my Grandpop's pipe from over 30 years ago , which was a unexpected pleasant memory.

Enjoy your shaves and have a great weekend.

I have a #16 in pretty good condition but have never used it. How did the #15 shave? My #16 is a bit scary as the handle seems a little loose where it's crimped to the bottom plate. Beautiful finish, though. Might just leave it as a looker!

The #15 is a great shaver. Fairly aggressive as an OC, the #16 is milder being a CC. The balance on the #16 is great though!

Pre-Shave: @khun_diddy Olive Oil Soap, cold water
Razor: BBS-1
Blade: Voskhod (2)
Brush: Rudy Vey Shavemac 2-band Silvertip
Lather: Australian Private Reserve General Ledger
Post-shave: Alum, Stirling Bay Laurel Witch Hazel, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

I had a very enjoyable shave today - even a small nick on my philtrum (always a trouble spot of mine) could not diminish it. It was pretty clear in the morning, that today was a General Ledger day - don't ask me why. But it is a beautiful sunny autumn day here and I think this is the perfect scent for it. The lather was fantastic as always and I love it, how the scent stays with you just that little bit longer. Three days worth of growth and the BBS-1/Voskhod combination removed everything with ease leaving behind a silky smooth face.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend (y)(y)(y)
