Paste & Cut Travelling Box #3 - Reviews and Comments

So tonights affair was commanding & passionate one with Soap Commander Passion soap & balm.

Tonight was good, new blade (makes the world of difference) so a few tiny nicks, soap lathered up well & has a lovely light scent.

The balm is lovely & soothing. It has a wonderful little sting on application which I kind of enjoy.

So tonights shave consisted of Queens Anne's revenge & the faena after shave lotion.

What can i say, the Queen annes made a Wonderfull lather (focusing on that now i've seen that other thread!)

And the faena, where can i get some that is awesome scent & feels great after the shave! Would you normally follow that up a lotion or moisturizer?

Where can i get one of the plastic/bakealite razors from that'd be great for the shower for the wife?

Hi Everyone
The box arrived safely on Monday. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to use much out of it yet. I promise myself I will over the next few days.
I can't get over the variety of smells in the box. Fragrance is my favourite part of the whole shaving experience.

Will update again soon.

Thanks

With so much goodness in the box my shave yesterday I felt the need to put a bit too the test.

Will add some detailed comments about it tonight.
But quickly, that chocolate smell, the lather monster of the Wickhams, the quality of the Myrsol in fixing my rushed shave and the Aesop.
It was an extremely pleasant shave.

WOW - you had some fun!

Looks great :)

Another multi dimensional shave from the box last night.
Razors: GEM and Injector
Soaps: Queen Annes Revenge and Soap Commander Courage
Aftershave: Myrsol Formula C

Notes: I started with the Injector and SC Courage for the first pass. The injector is really easy to use and gives a gentle smooth shave. The scent of the SC Courage was very enjoyable but subtle, I didn't use enough soap and ended up with a thin lather, but it worked without irritation.

Next I lathered up the Queen Annes Revenge, it produced an amazing lather with a scent I associate with old school England. It was a little floral for my liking. The GEM is always a razor I've been wanting to try. I love contrasting look of the handle to the head. After loading the blade it looks very aggressive and given I was shaving ATG I was a little hesitant to start, but the feedback it gives gave me confidence. The sound it gives off is incredible. It like it has a microphone on it.

I rinsed off and applied the Myrsol. I was unsure heading into the shave which aftershave to use, but the scent seemed to work better with the Queen Annes soap. The smell I was a little hesitant about but the performance of the Myrsol is the best. I had a tiny little nick on my neck which this fixed in seconds. Its gives a nice tight face feel whilst being nice and smooth to the touch.

I followed that with little dash of the Floris fragrance. Which my wife enjoyed

Then this morning I applied some of The Stray Whisker Balm. I love the scent of this. It has a slight greasy feel after applying which disappears and leaves a nice moisturised feeling.

@Mark1966 's box is wonderful and generous initiative. It opened up my eyes to all sorts of wonderful products that are now staples in my bathroom. I was plodding along with a narrow array instruments and soaps before Box 2 landed on my door. The flood gates opened shortly after. Myrsol, Floid, Ogallala, Open Combs - gosh I was living under a rock! I've met guys at shave meets who donated some of those products that became the focus of many mail calls. All done in pure generosity and the love of sharing an awesome product.

Just remember I'm just the front man for the box. Lots of generous contributors including @Anthony and @SydBJW along with Mensbiz on the first version.

Hey - Happy shaving :)

And it arrived today. WooHoo! Many thanks to @Steve_M . So many things to try, so little time... I'm definitely going to give the injector a try though after hearing so many good reports. One thing I've noticed though is that so far nobody has tried the Schick II blades. Is that because nobody is game or nobody wants to break the pristine packaging? :)

Since there was the tiniest space left in the box I added those Shick blades for anyone who's game.

Consider the challenge accepted. I've tried Schick blades before and the grind of their blades never really worked for me. x2 could be a bloodbath! :(

Ahh the Mr Creasote of the PCTB3a! It is only a tiny, thin pair of blades ...

I hope we don't need to get a bucket ...
