Mailcall - and a question.

The Ozark and SDM smell like I expected. The Barbershop is a beige colour and has a slightly sweet chocolate smell? I'm sure some Forum members have used this soap - is this the norm?

Sorry missed this question. Yes, I think it must have a little Vanilla in it to cause the slight discolouration. Certainly not a bay type barber smell, more powdery slightly sweet.

Yes, it should look and smell like that. To me it smells like fudge, without being too sickly. The barbershop is a fantastic soap.
@Psmith and @Korbz - cheers for the feedback on the soap. It just took me by surprise, as other Barbershop fragrances I've tried have been fresher and more citrusy.
It is Stirling's top-selling soap, and I'm looking forward to giving it a lather.

I regularly use Stirlings Barbershop, I get sweet talc, amber and Vanilla notes but your description sounds about right. Enjoy - it's a great soap and one of my fav's.

NOS Bismarck 49 - 6/8 full hollow, yardle yardle....

I could have sworn I heard my Japanese razors muttering epithets like "Mutton dressed as lamb", "Strutting bloody peacock" and "The looks are the only sharp thing about it". I shudder to think what the reaction of @bald as Russian razor brigade would have been.....

Jokes aside she is an absolutely perfect specimen, and my friend @Mark assures me I am in for one the shaves of my life when I use her for the first time :)

Would that be uttered from a Wapi?

my razors are street urchins whereas those belonging to @Draco Noir are the creme de la creme. True beauty queens.

Street urchins? No way Baldy. More like proud Soviet military officers. Anyway, our razors have plenty in common :

* They belong to guys who really value them,
* They are all honed to near perfection, and
* They all deliver brilliant shaves

I think you just have a higher resistance to "Bling" than myself....
