Yeah, I broke out the super special Wilkie which @Pjotr sent me on Saturday, thanks mate. (See @mantic59, he isn't completely philistine). For those playing at home, I am talking about the following package.

Amazingly good shave, but again felt like the blade has less width to it than any other blade I have used, and therefore less blade exposure from the razor head.

That said, damn smooth shaving, left everything else I have ever used in the dust. Seriously felt like no blade in the razor. Not sure if they are the best blade in the world, but would like to have a slash with the blade they meet in the grand final.

Sorry Pj but I am going to be fighting you for the remainder of these if they ever come up again on fleabay.

TTO long handle with a 7 O'clock black
Godrej cream
Semogue 1800 brush

Smoothest shave in a long time. I did an ATG under my jawline/ears and it was really smooth.

Strange, I didn't find this ultra vintage Wilkie version anywhere near as good as the other standard vintage Wilkie I sent you. I'll have to try it again. I'm not looking for any more blades, so don't hesitate to buy as many as you like. In keeping with you other blade purchases you do need to buy the remaining global stock of these.

Anyhow back on topic.

Various re-knot brushes
TOBS Lemon/Lime only one more shave left out of the generous sample from Jug.
Bakelite beauty with vintage Wilkie (80s version) on No3. Great sharp, smooth blade.

They say the measure of a man, is not that of his word, yet that of his actions.
Pjotr, the balls in your court (may I humbly suggest you atone via posting your own introduction youtube video if this is to the satisfaction of mantic59 ?)

@Monsta_AU have been keeping an eye on these: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/5-PKT-OF...0210&clkid=5735994723582893047&_qi=RTM1582273

Looks almost identical to the above ones and they're made in England apparently. They've been re-listed at 1.50 quid. Didn't get a bid first time round! You can't go wrong. Don't know about posting to Australia but for that starting price there's a bit of leeway. I'm not going for it.

It would take balls to put up a video where you have to pull "shave faces" for the world to see as I find it funny enough just looking at myself.

I have watched them all and did learn heaps though. I didn't even laugh as at the time it was extremely serious business. But now I love it and smile.

I am watching!

Today was an Astra blade with Speick soap and was a BGS. (Bloody Good Shave).

I also ordered some of those Perma Sharps from Turkey.

Not after his R41 adventure. PJ ain't so pretty anymore :p

Speaking of which...

I had my last crack with the R41 before it gets packaged up and posted to GT.

Palmolive Gut 2,2
Schemogue 830
Muhle R41 (Nasty edition)
Permasharp super (2)
Alum
ASB

Getting easier and easier to use this thing, explains the first raising of blood this shave :D Just a little nibble on the chin to keep me honest.

I think with practice you could get comfortable with this razor, it's just whether or not you want to invest the time into it. It shaves super close and is probably one of the best razors I have tried for dealing with those funny areas where the hair is going in a few directions. Risk vs reward is still the thought that comes to mind. I am glad I got to try one of the "talking point" razors of recent times. I would like to see how a Merkur 39 goes by comparison.

Cheers for the opportunity Juggy!

Could not put it better myself!

Distressed butterscotch brush
Irisch Moos. Just got another stick from Mark for doing his handles. Thanks, it's hard to find this stuff. I'm now shaving non stop with this stuff. Just love the scent.
The usual SPUD razor with UK Wilkie (1980s version we think) on No 6. Still superb.

I fired up the Bakelite for one last hurrah before it goes back to PJ next week.
Gillette Black
Godrej cream
Semogue 1800 brush - the housekeeper cleaned the bathroom and she put my brush bristles up in my holder...which it couldn't fit into that way, so she forced it in and how it has gouge marks in the handle. Sigh.
Anyway a good shave I guess, as good as I can seem to get out of the Bakelite anyway. It's just not for me, that razor.

Now you can't even say the Semogue is a shite brushes but the handle is great. Time to ditch the brush holder. I need evidence before I drop this re-knotted Boeckh's off. Beware, I really don't need much persuasion to keep it for myself and the thought of it being shoved in a holder is more than enough.

It's a good holder. Mr626 made it for me. Good bit of Aussie craftsmanship. The house keeper just didn't understand how brushes go in it, nor that she isn't to touch the shaving gear.

By the way, what ever happened to @mr626 ? He hasn't posted here for ages.
