Gillette Slim (5)
Fresh Astra
Acqua di Parma shave soap
Duke 3
Acqua di Parma AS

Came back to The Slim after a small sabbatical. On previous occasions it gave me some rough treatment however its a little better now. Not entirely convinced on it's renowned smooth and close qualities but I'll persist for a few weeks to see if I can do better. The fragrance of the Acqua di Parma is awesome and lasts quite a while.

Acqua di Parma shave soap and various products, this stuff pops up all the time.

May I ask where to buy some of this?

It sounds like good stuff. But so do most things really.

My sister owns a small fragrance business. She got me the soap and AS at a trade or training day. Mensbiz sell the soap for $78. Masculine citrus fragrance and a luxurious cushiony lather but definitely overpriced. I've seen the AS in David Jones.

Midnight shave after 2 days of growth.

Standard Razor
Merkur Progress

Personna Red/IPs

The Fat

Omega Pro49

Gaia for Men Face Créme

I hate face surgery as it interrupts the shaving. :(

Gillette Slim (4)
Astra (2)
Tabac soap stick
Semogue Mistura
Proraso splash

Smoother and more comfortable this time around. Turned the Slim down 1 notch from yesterday but I suspect it was the prep and Tabac that helped. The Mistura is getting better with use. Yes, I think the Slim is a keeper now after some initial doubts.

A bit of neck sting when I splashed on some Proraso but I was probably pressing too hard with the razor.

$ 78, F#ck, I will give it a miss but will keep it in my mind.

Yeah, nice soap but not 78 bucks worth.

I had to do a bit of backtracking to find out what this outburst was all about. Aqua di parma. It's Italian. Shaving and all things masculine were invented in Italy. I'll bet you Marko of YKW fame has a stash of it on a special shelf beneath a picture of his "Pappa", replete aboard his gayfully painted gondola. Don't be so vulgar. You're buying a slice of historical, gentlemanly pursuit shaving culture. $78? It's still less than the equivalent in canned foam. Get on with it ya bunch a crybabies!

Marco Shmarco. My face isn't dancing to the tunes of History just because I'm using some re formulated version of a soap that King Giuseppe shaved with when he turned 15.

And besides, I paid only $20 for the tub. Actually 2 tubs.

I love seeing passionate members, particularly when they back their otherwise hollow words with actions such as purchasing this for us crybabies in pursuit of converting us and proving yourself right to us :)

That, my friends, is what we used to refer to as WIGGIDA-WIGGIDA-WIGGIDA- WACK

I just googled that phrase and it came back with:-

The hair sticking out of a very hairy ass crack that resembles a "Mohawk" on an old fashion battle helmet.

Ummm, let's get back on topic.

Its another Italian maker, despite the Oriental feel of the name. They are rumoured to make AdP, mainly as they packaged under their own name in the AdP jars at one point. There are pics YKW.

They also make at least some of the RazoRock product line, and the 'Mondial' brand is also theirs, I believe it was to be the European RazoRock branding but it's not really gone anywhere. Shaving.ie have some of the Mondial product but seem to be selling the full RazoRock range now.

IB says their Razorock XXX is coming back soon. Rumour has it it is Acqua Di Parma with a different sticker.
Whoops just seen @Monsta_AU 's reply. I think we are saying the same thing.
