Pre: GFT lime skin food
Brush: My blonde mistress - SOC
Soap: MdC
Razor: iKon B1 OSS
Blade: Polsilver SI
Post: alum, witch hazel with aloe, Aesop Moroccan neroli

Was supposed to leave work on time to attend a reunion dinner in the city. Unfortunately, been requested to do some last minute reporting. Missed out on steaks at the meat and wine Co with some great company.

Great news is that the shave tonight was a damn fine one. So I got that going for me. I can't get enough of it's scent.

The Polsilver is smooth and sharp. I think I preferred these to the Voskhods. Will find out in due time. Ordered some Timor and Gillette silver blue samples. Let's see how they go.

Happy Friday every one!

Brush: Epsilon Horsehair 27mm
Soap: Soap Commander Vision
Razor: Gillette Slim (7)
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Post: Floid Suave

When the apocalypse comes, and humanity is reduced to small pockets of snarling beast battling for scraps, my decedents will gather round a flickering campfire and tell stories about this shave. One for the ages.

I was a fool to put this brush up for sale (and you were fools for not pouncing on it). After a bit more work it's now nearly broken in and is a lather machine. It's one of those brushes that, like the Chubby, holds a ton of water and, when loaded well, creates slick, shiny lather in the blink of an eye. The tips are now much softer and it's a pleasure to use.

The Slim on 7 was a revelation. Equivalent to the Rockwell on 5 I think. DFS after 2 passes. Effortless BBS after 3. I swear I could hear the music of the spheres.

You've given me hope to push on with my Epsilon (y) Mine is super dense in the middle of the knot, which results in some unpleasant friction.

Very glad to hear that. I have one on the way! As soon as it gets restocked.

I think that because I have a rotation of 10 brushes it just hasn't seen nearly enough lather time. I've lathered it up every day for the last two weeks. I've also given it a mashing each time (something I normally wouldn't do) to loosen the knot up a bit. It's now so much softer and beginning to bloom a little. Paint strokes help with this brush I think.

Soap: Shaver Heaven Barber Shop
Brush: Edwin Jagger badger
Face lather
Razor: George Butler 6/8

Normally I go on and on about the quality and performance of Shaver Heaven soaps but today ... ... ... yeah; same today. Performance gets a big tick, scent gets a big tick, satisfaction gets a big tick. Well done @Anthony . Straight was sharp for a 10.30am shave. These late shaves are super enjoyable. Plenty of light, an empty house and me enjoying "me-time" in the man cave, well bathroom at least.

Dr Jon's Anne Bonny Aftershave

Decided to really treat myself today & go for a 3 pass shave with the last being ATG.

The face is feeling BBS & I'm ready to enjoy the rest of the weekend.

This hobby has really taught me to appreciate the smaller moments in life & the importance of slowing down to enjoy life.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Brush: Envy White 25mm Alluminati
Soap: CRSW Bergamot & Bay
Razor: Weber PH on Bulldog handle
Blade: Polsilver
After-shave: Ogallala Bay Rum, Sage & Cedar

The brush is a beauty to hold and behold. The handle has a lovely heft in the hand, and is very pleasing on the eye. The knot has a strong backbone (52mm loft) with tips that aren't soft just yet. Worked very well in the bowl but a bit rough on the face. I'm hoping that the tips soften over time, and then it'll be perfect.

Strewth! This Ogallala is bit heavy on the nose...

Razor: Gillette 'Fatboy' Adjustable (5)

Every gentleman bloke needs to at least try a Pinaud Clubman product - a rite of passage!

I've just bought some of this from TSW for a mate. It's a very similar scent to Clubman, but slightly more powdery and less cloying.
$17 for almost half a litre (443ml). Bargain! [emoji6]
