Razor: - Rockwell 6s #2
Blade: - Polsilver Super Iridium (2)
Brush: - Semogue 620
Soap/Cream: - Haslinger Sheeps Milk & Lanolin (very similar to MWF)
Post Shave: - Alum Block / T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent / Natio Maximum Razor Relief Healing Lotion
Fragrance: - Tabac Cologne

Early morning shave with my new Rockwell 6s safety razor since I've waiting for a very long time to get this and I finally got it at last, I'm surprise the weight is quite heavy compared to all the other razors I've own since my all time favorite razor was the Razorock Mission because it has the perfect wieght and balance in my hand. That's why I'm surprise to see this Rockwell 6s and to feel the weight is quite heavy in my hand, however I'm still very concern about this weight when shaving ATG might be a bit tricky under the neck area when apply very little pressure because their is no weight shaving ATG.

I've decided to start using the plate #2 because #1 will not shave propertly for me and it can be very difficult to find the right angle during the shave so that why I've started at #2, trust me I've own a Merkur Progress long handle and I do know what #1 is like is not easy for me okay let move on now with the Rockwell shall we.

This new razor with a Polsilver Super Iridium was amazing at the start of the shave WTG was very smooth and the weight of this razor feels like it has fully taken over cutting my facial hair like bloody magic without applying any pressure at all so far so bloody good, any way the next shave was XTG was a little tricky because of the weight attend to loose some balance when holding it and don't worry it takes a little bit of effort or practice getting used to like a new toy. The XTG shave went okay so far a bit smooth just a little tricky because of the weight that need more work throughout the shave don't worry I'll get there sh#t, now ATG was something else and bloody tricky with this bastard weight that need a lot more work getting used to darn the angle need some mastering in my hand and lucky me the shave was okay a safe without a bloody major blood bath anybody having some issue ATG with the Rockwell 6s please tell me about it.

Overall it's far too early for me to say about the Rockwell 6s IF this razor does get along with me throughout my shave, and don't bet your bloody hopes that I aren't giving up this razor for sale don't even think about it smarty pants not by a long shot ;)

Don't dismiss #1 without using it. Very different to a progress.

Brush: Simpsons M7
Razor: EJ 89
Blade: Rapira Swedish
Soap: D.R. Harris Sandalwood
A/S: D.R. Harris Sandalwood

A very pleasant shave today. Great lather and scent from the D.R. Harris soap, needs a lot of water but is worth the effort.

Well I felt a bit like I cheated tonight :) I honed a new [old] straight tonight for the shave but it wasn't quite there so I shaved with my Clog Pruf SE Gem.
The shave was stunning. Fast, close and 1 pass for almost a DFS without trying.
For me the DE and SE blades seem to leave my skin less cared for when compared to a well honed straight. A bit dry.
Soap: One I made. [I do need some sought of identifier on the container]
I think I need to make an MDC clone tomorrow and trick it up with some Bay Rum.
Brush: A balding badger loosing more hair than me.
Blade/Razor: Gem Clog Pruf
Post Shave: Witch Hazel

Razor: EJ DE86
Blade: Voskhod
Brush: EJ Best Badger
Soap: WSP Rustic Shave Soap (Barbershop)
After: TN Dickinson WH with Aloe Vera

Saturday morning shave with a brand new Voskhod and a new soap.

Still getting used to the WSP Soap - comes in a 125g tin, full to the top. Finding it awkward to load the brush with no headroom in the tin. It does lather well, and I'm finding it likes plenty of water. Very mild fragrance, quite subtle. Good slickness, nice post-shave feel on the skin too.

This is my 3rd Voskhod and I'm finding the first shave is brilliant, 2nd shave is good, and then it's in the bin. I can't get a reasonable 3rd shave out of them.

This morning's shave was exceptional, nearest I've got to BBS so far. On the 2nd and 3rd pass, the lather is stinging my face a bit, but no signs of irritation yet.

Pre: GFT lime skin food
Brush: SOC
Soap: SH Drogon Noir Tallow V2
Razor: Standard
Blade: PSI
Post: alum, witch hazel, SH Green Tobacco ASB

I think I do need to soak the boar with warmer water, it's a bit scritchy scratchy. I remember when I used to use warmer water, it can be pretty soft. However, it whipped out one heck of a lather. SH soap drogon noir tallow, top notch soap. I missed out on the recent tallow v3 release - Oatmeal Stout. Better luck next time.

Getting the hang of the Standard. Love how much you can feel the blade with this razor and yet not slicing off my face. Kicked it up a notch today, loaded a PSI. Fantastic smooth BBS shave with no irritation. I can see why @Osman loves this razor, I do too.

Agree @Nightguard - one of my favourite soap-A/S combo's.

@silver I always use warm water to soak my badger and boar brushes throughout my shave when using natural animal hair, if I'm using synthetic brush it doesn't matter warm or cold water ;)

Preshave: Musgo Real Glyce Oakmoss Soap and Proraso Red preshave cream
Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89
Blade: Polsilver SI
Brush: Semogue 1305
Soap: Saponificio Varesino Felce Aromatica
Post Shave: Gummy Balm and Floiud Vigoroso
Leisurely three pass shave. I did miss the Saponificio Varesino but indulged in a lovely Sunday shave with no interruptions. Easy BBS result. Its days like this that I feel sorry for those that don't enjoy shaving as much as we do. Have an enjoyable day gents.

So glad you are getting the hang of the Standard and so quickly. Wait till you try a feather in it.

Yea I think I need to, I was afraid the water was a little too hot. That's why I toned it down a little. But didn't realised it's such a huge difference.

Thanks to both you and @Lifes a Peach tips on how to handle it. It's very counter-intuitive, as I though because it's lighter I need to apply more pressure because the weight of the razor isn't present to do the work. But because of how much you can feel the blade, it's very easy to find the right cutting angle. Feather is next. Have to be extra careful with it.

The Standard does an exceptional job at taming Feathers. Like you, I have a fearful respect for these blades, but they are more forgiving when paired with this razor. @Osman can chime in here. I'm looking forward to your impression. Also with experience you will be amazed at how you can ease off the pressure when using light razors and still get a decent result.

I can attest to this. Not with the standard, but with the Gillette OC razor that @DracoNoir passed onto me. It is incredibly light compared to both the DE89 and my Rockwell. The last shave I had with it I concentrated on using very little pressure and was rewarded with a much better shave!

@silver as long as you used just warm water only for badger and boar also make sure you only soak it just a few millimeters below the handle so you damage the knot epoxy glue, and your brush should last a lifetime if you look after your brush with great extra care ;)
