Pre-Shave: Cypriotian Olive/Argan Oil soap, cold water
Razor: Weber PH Bulldog
Blade: Ladas (1)
Brush: Paladin Chief
Lather: Mike's Hungarian Lavender
Post-shave: Alum, Barrister & Man Kyovu Original, Australian Emu Oil

Don't know why, but it has been (with a single exception) more than a year since this razor got my attention. It is certainly not the eye candy, that some of my other razors are - but buy does it give you a nice shave. I really almost forgot about it - what a shame they don't make it any more...

For those of you who still pretend they can live without a Paladin: that reflection is real! What James from Wolfman is for DE razors, Ken and Cody are for brushes. Yes it takes some time to get one - but who cares. They are simply the most beautiful handles out there and with Mike's I had some of the best lather today - picture is here.

Wonderful shave and fantastic post-shave even half a day later. Perfect start into the weekend - hope you have a good one as well (y)

Pre: Shower/ Face wash
Soap: Dr Jon's Classic
Brush: 'St James' 24mm Super Badger
Razor: Dovo 6/8
Post: Alum, Thayers and Natio Razor Relief Lotion

Great shave today, whipped up great lather with the St James and Dr Jon's (lather shot, best one yet). It's a great performing soap this one, just that the scent is not quite my cup of tea. The razor performed top notch today as well; sharp and vocal, one little nick on the neck though. Finished off with usual post shave gang, all in all a DFS.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend gents and happy shaving.(y)

Pre-Shave - Proraso White
Razor: - Rockwell 6s #4
Blade: - Polsilver Super Iridium (2)
Brush: - Simpsons Chubby 2 Best Badger
Soap/Cream: - Mike's Natural Shaving Soap - Hungarian Lavender
Post Shave: - Alum Block / T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent / Natio Maximum Razor Relief Healing Lotion
Fragrance: - Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male EDT
Whisky: - Ardbeg 10yrs old

Tonight shave before I go to Lodge with Mike's Natural Shaving Soap and @alfredus is 100% right because the smell of Hungarian Lavender is absolutely fabulous best of all this soap lather pretty quick like a real bad ass in no time with warm water, and I'm truly amazes about the slickness of this Mike's Natural Shaving Soap also just be extra careful with the amount of water otherwise the soap will become thin if you used too much water. I can't wait to try out the Mike's Natural Barbershop during my next shave very soon.

Also I'm going to pass the Rockwell 6s to my brother to let him have a crack at this razor from top to bottom and he'll give me his feedback and I'll will be going back to my Razorock Mission during my next shave, I believe plate #2 is 100% perfect for my skin during the shave which I cannot understand why I can't find any love from plate #3 & #4 and I wouldn't even try #5 or #6 no way. Finally a good belt of Ardbeg 10yrs old straight up very nicely and smooth without ice should keep me happy throughout my shave.

Pre: Musgo Real Lime Oil Soap, Proraso green cream
Brush: Savile Row 3824 Silvertip
Soap: SH Oatmeal Stout Tallow V3
Razor: Feather AS-D2
Blade: Feather (4)
Post: Alum block, Proraso green cream, B.P. Grade Witch Hazel
A/S: PAA Al Fin

This soap is another stellar performer. @Anthony, well done on the Tallow V3 formulation. Very close shave, thanks to the cushioning and slickness of the lather. Still coming to terms with a soap that I want to eat, but certainly a comforting fragrance and well suited to the colder months. The PAA A/S is a nice fresh fragrance with a pleasant menthol kick. My face felt great after this set-up.

That's the empty piggy bank where the money was housed before the purchase of the goodies seen in the picture....

NAH - too small!

It's funny how this shaving caper works, but over time your technique subconsciously improves. You'll find that razors that you previously felt were too efficient or harsh on the face, after leaving a few months and then returning to use, will feel a lot different. Some razors also will click much better with a different blade. This all means that you don't ditch a razor too quickly (if it's one that you like the feel or looks of but it "doesn't work"), as after a break it may very well work beautifully for you the next time around.

Keep humble and you'll keep learning.
Keep learning and you'll be a better shaver.

Couldn't agree more with @filobiblic, I for one couldn't wield the iKon slant for ages. Recently I paired a GSB with it and after some time with the standard, I now can wield the Slant with not much issues. No blood transfusion required.

Pre: GFT lime skin food
Brush: Chubby 2 Best
Soap: Shaverheaven Spiced Mahogany Tallow V3
Razor: Standard
Blade: PSI
Post: alum, witch hazel, B&M Arctique

It's quite cold tonight in Melbourne. Warm scented lather seems to be the go. Lathered it up well enough but not moist enough. More water next time.

Great shave achieved, although I noticed some weird popping sounds during the shave. Seems like the center of the DE blade had a small portion of it snapped off by the area around where the handle thread connects to the base plate. That's quite bizarre.

Finished off with the alum, which confirmed I had a pretty smooth shave with no irritation. Splashed on some B&M Liquid nitrogen on my face. Happy Saturday shave. Remember it's Synth Sunday tomorrow.

Razor: Weber Polished Head on Bulldog Handle
Blade: Vintage Schick Super Platinum (1)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson reknotted in 'Pure'
Soap/Cream: Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary "Settantesimo" Shave Soap
Aftershave: Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary "Settantesimo" After shave

What a great way to start the week!

This stuff really is superb with a great scent and wonderful lather. I think I found the trick with the aftershave too - really, really shake the bottle, it seems to reduce the viscosity so it flows better :)

Have a great Sunday guys!
