Pre: Pears transparent soap
Razor: EJ DE89
Blade: Voskhod (4)
Brush: Simpson Duke 2 "Pure"
Soap: Shaver Heaven Peppermint Plus & Catie's Bubbles Mile High Menthol
After: Lather, Alum, Myrsol Formula 'C'

Fairly cold in Melb this morning, wanted a way to really wake up. The shave was pleasant. Went with the post shave lather technique this morning. Once the cold water broke through the lather barrier, it certainly gave me the wake up I was after! Enjoyed the menthol in @Anthony's soap. Might have to get one of his mentholated soaps down the track. [emoji1]

Pre Shave: La Toja Glycerine Magno Soap
Razor: Progress, 3.5, Feathers
Soap: GFT Sandalwood Cream
Post: GFT Skin Food-Sandalwood

Quite brisk again this morning, I always like the autumnal/winter scents when the chill sets in and a decent post shave moisturisation to cool things down.

Preshave: Musgo Real glyce soap and Proraso Sandalwood preshave cream
Razor: Standard
Blade: Polsilver SI
Brush: Vie Long Horse
Soap: Loccitane Cade cream(Sample kindly provided by @Draco Noir )
Post Shave: Stray Whisker balm, Fine L'Orange Noir AS and Terre d Hermes EDP.
Two pass shave with a little clean up under the chin. Nice smooth shave with close enough to BBS. Apply balm and wait 30 minutes before adding the AS. Finish with a squirt of the wonderful Terre d Hermes.

Soap: Shaver Heaven - Eden's Garden.
Brush: Chubby 2
Blade: Parker 510
Post: Thayers, SH Balm, PAA - CaD.

I bought this soap thinking it was SH's Fougère but I soon worked out it wasn't! (It's forbidden forest). Ah well... So, the scent is very subtle. It is described as delicate and it sure is. Nice floral, that doesn't make a scene. This is also the old blue tub so an old formula vegan. Interesting to compare the different formula's back to back like this. Quicker to build volume that tallow V3.

As to brushes... I seem to recall a Chubby featuring commonly in SOTD. These days it's just me. Interesting how our preferences change of time as we get something new, tire of the old. This very Chubby has featured in SOTD posts from three owners now.

Face Wash : Musgo Real Lime Soap
Pre-Shave : Alt Innsbruck Pre-Shave
Brush : Thater 2 band
Soap : Meissner Tremonia Moroccan Rhasssoul
Razor : Ali's Blade Raptor 54
After Shave : Alum, Lipikar Balm, Serge Lutens Ambre Sultan

A seriously satisfying shave today. I have to confess it was the 4th consecutive shave with the Raptor 54 - it's got me in a big way. First things first however : the Thater whipped up a superb lather from the Moroccan Rhassoul, along with the intriguingly spicy fragrance the soap has. These Meissner Tremonia soaps have really sophisticated fragrances; not gimmicky or flashy, and certainly not boringly traditional. For mine, they are a breath of fresh air in a busy and competitive artisan market.

The razor was just amazing. It's incredibly enjoyable to shave with - a real little hotrod. It shaves close and smooth as you'd expect, but also offers that indefinable something in the handling department. A bit like the "drivability" of a top European car : easy to love but difficult to describe exactly. Anyway, it's a brilliant fit for my hand and face and I feel extremely confident and comfortable shaving with it. And the results of course are nothing short of outstanding - I have to resist the urge to lather up for an extra pass or two even though I'm already totally smooth...

The usual finishers, with Serge Lutens' Ambre Sultan as the fragrance for the day. It's a scent with attitude - it has a big Patchouli component, but Patchouli of a quality that neither @Osman nor myself have encountered before. The fragrance has a big "presence" and lasts for a very long time indeed.

Pre Shave: Shower
Soap: Mystic Waters - Irish Traveller
Brush: Stirling 22mm syth
Razor: Kamisori western grind (14)
Post Shave: Alum, Myrsol Blue

Last shave was the first time I had used a straight razor other than my trusty Kamisori. While that was a brilliant shave, picking up the Kamisori was like greeting an old friend, it had only been a matter of days since I'd used it but it felt like forever. I think I will probably always feel that with the Kami, being my first straight and also providing me with my first BBS shave it will always hold a lot of sentimental value.

With that being said the star of this shave was the Mystic Waters - Irish Traveller soap. It produced a great lather in no time with very little effort, providing a nice slick protective covering that smelled fantastic to boot. I would describe the scent as an outdoorsy, green, clean Autumn morning, it left me feeling fresh and invigorated. If the performance of the Irish Traveller is anything to go by I can't wait to try out the other Mystic Waters soap that I have waiting for me.

Another successful 3 pass shave, fourteenth with the Kami and fifteenth shave using a straight overall. :)

@alfredus - you creative devil! Nice work - all the troops lurking in the forbidden forest.

Thanks @TomG . I am enjoying your SOTD's as well. Would like to see some pictures if possible. By the way I like your avatar. Karl Pilkington is a favourite of mine.
