Pre-Shave: Cypriotian Olive/Argan Oil soap, cold water
Razor: Supply Provisions Single Edge Aggressive
Blade: Personna Injector (2)
Brush: Paladin TSN LE
Lather: Mike's Orange, Cedarwood & Black Pepper
Post-shave: Alum, Barrister & Man Kyovu Original, Australian Emu Oil

Finally a decent shave with this razor. Not only blood free - but the alumn didn't sting either and the result is silky smooth. The secret is an extreme shallow cart like angle with absolute zero pressure.

The lather was also fantastic (picture here) - so a great shave today (y)

Soap: barbershop-Shaver Heaven
Brush: Badger
Razor: A chrome one
Blade: Voskhod

So a little belated however this was yesterday's shave and my first ever shave with a DE, So I thought I would share. I decided to give a DE a go as an alternative to a straight. The razor is a no name one I picked up while I wait for my R89 to arrive I must admit it was a lot quicker than the straight, no niks or cuts. It is a heavy razor so it needed no pressure and I wasn't even sure it was cutting hairs but it sure was, it just seemed effortless and gave me a close shave. Still prefer to use a straight but a DE provides an excellent backup.

Pre: GFT Lime Skin Food
Brush: SOC
Soap: MdC
Razor: ATT S1
Blade: Feather
Post: Alum, Witch Hazel, TSW After Balm, Myrsol Agua Balsamica

I remember the first time I used the MdC, the results were outstanding. So smooth so slick. Since then, I haven't really been able to re-create that similar experience.
Lather today looks amazing, however, while on the face, it dries out pretty quickly. I have to constantly dab my face with water to keep it from caking up. Sure sign of too little water IMO. I think I might have to reduce loading time? Or just keep on adding more and more water until it becomes drippy slicky lather. Any thoughts?

Shave was pretty close, but don't know why today my skin was relatively sensitive even before the shave. When I apply lather on the face, my face warmed up a little that it had a slight tinge of burn. Might be sunburn or something. Got a pretty close shave, 2 nicks maybe. Again, same set up tomorrow with helluvalotta water tomorrow.

Also I had a tester of the wickham 1912 which seems good. I didn't rate the old super smooth, but this is an improvement over that. I had a P&B and sold it as I really didn't think much of it at all. Nannys signature was quite good but the scent wasn't all that so it got sold with the p&b.
OSP has a couple of new scents coming out. One is like old spice as well as a shaving cream he is working on, plus matching aftershaves.
Thanks for the tip on Maggards stocking it. We do have Shaver Heaven cheaply available locally so I guess that almost makes it fair for you blokes over there. [emoji6]

It's becoming quite competitive over there in the UK with all those re-developing artisans of yours. It'll be good for OSP to produce some quality aftershaves. All your good ones are classic vintage or high end aftershaves! [emoji16] Some artisanal aftershaves would be appreciated I'm sure...

They would indeed. I'm waiting on a few discontinued SH soaps to arrive.

Brush: Chubby 2 Manchurian
Razor: RazoRock Wundabar
Blade: English Wilky
Soap: Vintage Yardley
A/S: GFT Skinfood
Cologne: D.R. Harris Lavender Water

Maiden voyage for the Chubby and it didn't disappoint. Chewed up a huge amount of soap and delivered an incredible lather. Face feel is excellent although there's a small amount of scritch but I suspect that will disappear as it breaks in.

@Nightguard - an appropriately classic English line-up to christen the Manchurian. Well played, Sir.

Shavemac (Danke, @Draco Noir )
Soap: Dr Jon's Anne Bonny (Thanks for the loan, @Osman )
Razor: Mongoose
Blade: Feather AC Professional Super
After: Thayers and Dr Jon's Anne Bonny AS (Thanks again, @Osman)

My first shave with a product from Dr Jon's and it did not disappoint. A very sweet take on Bay Rum.

cold water shave
Soap: Shaver Heaven Barbershop (blue tub)
Brush: cheap synth
Face lather
Blade: Gold Dollar 6/8
3 pass shave
Post: Alum block and Pinaud Clubman

Great lather with a "comfortable" scent. Read not sweet or overpowering, just a pleasant scent that is "comfortable" during me-time while shaving in the man cave (most people call it an en-suite). The old Dollar was sharp and smooth. Great shave.

Pre: La Toja
Brush: Occam Silvertip
Razor/Blade: Progress, 3.5
Soap: Stirling Spice
Post: Stirling Spice Post Shave Balm
Aftershave: Ogallala Bay Rum, Sage and Cedar

Bit of a spice tip this morning, giving me a chance to use and enjoy the new Ogallala range. The Stirling spice is very pleasant, a mildly sweet spiced soap and a much sweeter balm. The usual 2 pass that was all the more enjoyable with the warmer weather in Sydney. I finished up with plenty of balm and a judicious application of the Bay rum alcohol splash, I'm not generally a fan of Cedar scent but the balance in the Ogallala works particularly well with the bay rum softening the usually dominant cedar notes. It's one I am going to order a full size bottle of.

Pre-Shave: Shower
Razor: Edwin Jagger Kelvin
Blade: Personna Platinum
Soap/Cream: Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap
Brush: Mühle Silvertip Fibre V2.0 Shaving Brush
A/S: Nivea Men Sensitive After Shave Splash
Cologne: Boss in Motion by Hugo Boss (not on a photo)
Post-Routine: hot rinse, alum, cold rinse, splash, dry skin, cologne

I know, I know... Despite I received a box of goodies yesterday, this morning shave was with the old (but good) stuff. Haslinger and Saponificio Varesino still have to be transferred to some tins. No idea what to do with Haslinger - they are really tiny. I usually using IKEA Grundtal containers, but they are way too big for Haslinger. Had to order a few small tins on eBay. SO tomorrow it will be either Cella (had a sample before and loved it) or Saponificio.
