Good to see you back mate - hope all is well.

Soap/Cream: Through the Fire Fine Craft - Tinder
Brush: Mühle Silvertip Fibre V2.0 Shaving Brush
A/S: Lucky Tiger After Shave and Face Tonic
Post-Routine: hot rinse, alum, cold rinse, splash

Thx Mark. All good! Just seemed to lose a bit of enthusiasm for social media recently. Busy schedule and gloomy Melbourne weather probably something to do with it. Feel like the prodigal son.

Welcome back mate.

You're more like a long lost grandfather. [emoji23] Look at all the little Myrsol converts there are running around these parts now!!! If you hadn't put the little bottle of Myrsol Agua Balsamica into an early Travelling Box to bring it to our attention... Well, the world would be a different place.

(Pssst! Even @Drubbing has Myrsol now!!! [emoji12])

Pre: Myrsol Antesol
Brush: Rudy Vey Shavemac 2 band
Soap: Stirling Bay Rum
Razor: iKon B1 Slant
Blade: GSB
Post: alum, witch hazel, TSW After Balm, Ogallala Lime and Peppercorn Bay rum

Rough start, while disposing the old GSB, I accidentally cut myself with the old blade. Resulted in a deep cut on my middle finger.

Initial whiff of the Stirling Bay rum, it smells savoury. Like sniffing into a conch shell. Lather was fantastic and amazing. Expect nothing less from Stirling. Doesn't take long to get that ultra slick lather as well. Maybe the dripping blood helped lather it quicker.

Had a zit on the lower right jar, totally forgot about it and sliced through it. Wowzors, [emoji15]

I still find the GSB not as smooth as my favourites. Definitely a sharp blade, and does its job. I recall it pairing best with the OSS. It's been a long time since I reached for the OSS Dual comb.

2 pass plus some touch up, resulted in a BBS irritation free shave. Then I dropped my alum block. Luckily it didn't shatter, just chipped off the corner. Despite the mishaps, I did achieved a damn good shave today. Ready for tomorrow.

Ouch!!! One of those days...
I hope the finger heals quickly.

Pre-Shave: Cypriotian Olive/Argan Oil soap, cold water
Razor: Weber PH UFO Titan L
Blade: Voskhod (2)
Brush: Omega Pro 49
Lather: Stirling Lavender & Bergamot
Post-shave: Alum, Barrister & Man Kyovu Original, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

After all these thoughts on boar brushes (thanks to @bald as), I decided to take out my good old 49 and see if it enlightens me :D

I must admit, it did not :( The lather turned out quiet nice at the end (though not super drippy - picture here), but the work involved to get there was actually quiet hard.

The brush produced very quickly large volumes of foamy mess. By the time I got all the air bubbles out and had a thick cream in my brush, I could have easily fully loaded my 30mm Shavemac knot, but the hardest work, was trying to incorporate water into that lather...

The shave itself was very enjoyable and the result a silky smooth happy face. I truly enjoy my good old Weber at the moment, especially with such a beautiful handle.

All is forgiven my son - come and enjoy this shaving banquet we have laid out for you!

I get where you are coming from :)

That's sounding like a technique issue between what you have down pat for the big badgers and what you need to so for a boar.

Soap: Mystic Waters Maestrale
Brush: Shavemac 24mm 2 Band
Razor: Gillette Super Adjustable (7)
Blade: Voskhod (3)
A/S: Myrsol Antesol

Not as close as I would like with the Voskhod and SA, but close enough. The SA is a great razor (and birth razor) but I need to play around with blades for it. Lather was excellent and post shave feel fantastic.

Mark's Myrsol and Mike's Madness - Day Four

Razor: Gillette Sensor
Blade: Gillette Sensor Cart
Brush: Muhle synthetic travel brush
Soap/Cream: D R Harris Arlington shave stick
Aftershave: Floid Vigoroso

Forgot that I would be away today - so madness put on hold - except as much as today's shave was madness.

Seriously ordinary shave today. Only did a single pass as I hated it that much. Not sure if these OEM carts will actually work even as a travel solution - might have to go back to the Sensor Excel with genuine carts.

Ordinary - but the rest of the week will be better!

//La Toja Pre Shave//SimpsonCH1//Progress,3.5,Feather//LaToja Shave Cream//AfterBalm//La Toja Agua de Colonia

A very nice shave from the first outing of the La Toja, after having used their excellent smelling and performing pre-shave soap for so long. The cream was particularly easy to lather with a fantastic composition and smell best described as 'manly'. I ran with 3.5 on the Progress this morning and the cushion from the cream was superb enough to make the aggressive shave very enjoyable. It's a budget priced cream that thestraywhisker ala @shavetheman stocks, and I highly recommend it for anyone that has not tried it yet. The aftershave again smells fantastic, its definitely male in it's scent with a sweet subtlety and compliments the cream very well.

Preshave: Musgo Real Glyce soap and Proraso sandalwood preshave cream
Razor: Merkur HD Slant(Thanks @Lifes a Peach for the loan)
Blade: Polsilver SI
Brush: Kent BLK8
Soap: Kent
Post Shave: Natio balm and Alt Innsbruck cologne
Three pass shave. First use of a few product here. The brush is amazing and I will try to do a review in a few weeks. It requires a heavy load being a large brush but it is a sheer pleasure to use. The Kent soap is second tier quality. Easy to lather and adequate protection with an ok post shave feel. Not the worst but not the best and no scent as such. This is my first use of a slant and it too was a pleasure to use. Feels quite mild to me but the result is a very comfortable and irritation free BBS shave. Two day growth was removed with ease. Such and easy razor to use.

Pre: Myrsol Antesol
Brush: SOC
Soap: Shaverheaven Spiced Mahogany
Razor: ATT S1
Blade: GSB
Post: alum, witch hazel, TSW After Balm, Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore

[Last night's shave]
Boar whipped up a very creamy lather. Very smooth. Lovely protection and glide. I need to get some more Drogon Noir, that is still my favourite scent from @Anthony.

Shave was sensational, so happy I pulled the trigger to get this off @Draco Noir.

Finished off with my usuals plus the Santa Maria del Fiore aftershave splash. I am really loving this aftershave. I had to wait a while before it came back in stock. This is my favourite sweet scented aftershave.

I may be wrong but isn't Kent soap rebranded MWF? A top soap for me, but there is a learning curve.
