: Paladin
Soap: Henri et Victoria Absinthe - Thank you @Osman
Razor: Gillette NEW LC
Blade: Polsilver (Vintage) - Thank you @Draco Noir
After-shave: Thayers, Floid Vigoroso

A couple of first timers for me.

This soap gets the chocolates for the best new artisan soap I have tried this year. I loved everything about it. Smells fantastic, it's very slick, and the lather is very protective. Granted I don't get to try many new products with a sabbatical year and all that but this one is top notch. Thanks for the try, @Osman .

Next up is the Polsilver vintage blade. @Draco Noir was kind enough to flick 5 blades my way. These blades are really sharp but feel soft as silk. Paired with the NEW and I hardly feel a thing. The lack of "blade feel" has resulted in some scrapes so care and a very light touch is required. Extraordinary soft!

A great collection. No Plastic Shave though?

[Sigh] No, unfortunately ...

And Blue...lemon... But then again he just wants a "7 day set". So no need to collect any more...right? [emoji6]

The Lemon never appealed

The Blue is similarly not high on my must get list

The Emulsion is an omission.

So maybe a 10 or 11 days set? How will THAT work?

Makes me glad I missed out on Lilith. I love parma violets but not as shaving soap scent.
My memory recall could be totally off, as I said it's been a very long time since I ate them, but that was what immediately came to mind.

Mark's Myrsol and Mike's Madness - Day One

Razor: Fine Accoutrements Slant Razor
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum 'Black' [India] (1)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson
Soap/Cream: Mike's Natural Shaving Soaps - Barbershop
Aftershave: Myrsol F Extra

Since I have the Travelling Fine Slant thanks to @DrBob to try this week I wanted to get a little stability in my life after the recent soaps trials - but I also wanted to celebrate the arrive of my seventh Myrsol so - Mark's Myrsol and Mike's Madness - was born!

A week with just Mike's soap but a selection of Myrsol from my now seven-day set :)

So through the week the razor, blade and soap will remain the same - the only variation will be in the aftershave and brush - included below for completeness (and for those who like butterscotch).

The Fine Slant looks and feels like a toy - but it does the job. Great lather from Mike's and nice finish with the Myrsol.

Have a great week people!
I have my Myrsol mainly in plastic bottles (because I am a tight arse ) but boy do those glass bottles look real nice all lined up like that :)

Pre: Myrsol Antesol
Brush: Shavemac 177
Soap: B&M Vetyver Santal
Razor: iKon B1 Slant
Blade: GSB
Post: alum, witch hazel, Eufros Jabonman Vetiver Haiti

Back to tallow today. Lather was amazing. Fat, slick, moist and so much protection and glide, just beautiful lather. Load hydrate technique today, after last week's lather fail.

The Gillette Silver Blue is sharp, but not as smooth as my preferred polsilver and feather. But still gave me a good shave. Close, irritation free and no nicks. Very happy with that.

Finished with the usuals. Vetyver Santal calls for my favourite balm as the finisher. Sensational shave.

Hope I got the shout out right, I thank @unobtainium81 for the introduction of the Prisma app, I love it.

Mark's Myrsol and Mike's Madness - Day Two

Razor: Fine Accoutrements Slant Razor
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum 'Black' [India] (2)
Brush: Vintage butterscotch Simpson
Soap/Cream: Mike's Natural Shaving Soaps - Barbershop
Aftershave: Myrsol Metisol

Photos again just for @filobiblic ...

The Fine Slant certainly does the job. Great lather from Mike's and while the Metisol certainly makes a man out of you after the initial sting your face does feel really great.

La Toja // Simpson Ch1 // Progress,3.5,Feather // B+M Bay Rum // Sterling Bay Rum Post // OGallala Bay Rum, Sage, Cedar

With the cooler wetter weather set to make a comeback I felt like the warmth of a Bay Rum tuesday. Always a fantastic soap, the B+M Bay Rum is a definite favourite and always a pleasure to use. My usual WTG XTG 2 pass on 3.5 for the BBS smooth. Followed it up with Stirlings balm prior to getting into the Ogallala after shave for the all day smell. Overall a very nice, spicy start to tuesday.

Pre-Shave: Shower
Razor: Merkur Heavy Classic 34С Razor
Blade: Voskhod
Soap/Cream: Through the Fire Fine Craft - Wisp (tallow)
Brush: Mühle Silvertip Fibre V2.0 Shaving Brush
A/S: Nivea Men Sensitive After Shave Splash
Post-Routine: hot rinse, alum, cold rinse, splash

Once again excellent shave with TTFFC soap. This time it was tallow soft soap with classical barbershop scent.

Preshave: Musgo Real Glyce soap and Proraso sandalwood preshave cream
Razor: Weber Polished head with Ikon handle
Blade: Vintage Polsilver(6)
Brush: Vie Long Horse
Soap: Sudsy Soapery Citrus and Bay(sample)
Post Shave: Natio balm and Floid
Three pass shave. First time I have ever taken a blade to six shaves and I will gracefully retire it here. The smoothness remains but the sharpness has dropped away to a level that is below what I require. The Sudsy Soapery bay rum and citrus is a sweet scent that is lovely and a great performing soap. Super comfortable smooth result.

Pre: GFT Lime Skin Food
Brush: Rudy Vey Shavemac Custom 22mm 2 Band
Soap: P&B Spitfire
Razor: Standard
Blade: Feather
Post: Alum, witch hazel, TSW Afterbalm, Havana Splash

I think I underloaded this time around, lather couldnt take in much water and it doesn't lather explode like it normally does. Been having some issues with this brush lately, maybe I just need to use it more to further get the hang of the brush and let it break in as well. Shave was good, but could be better. I'll give the brush another go tomorrow with another soap.

The Havana Splash is an interesting one, upon application I expected more out of it, but it just seems to be moderate in scent, performance was okay not superb. I wonder if I will get it again or not. I'm enjoying the cheaper Ogallalas than this splash. Certainly smells like one of my favourite rums though, the Diplomatico Reserva. I wonder if the splash tastes sweet?
The spitfire will be on my next order and the rum you mention is also high on my to try list

The Ogallala? Many thanks to @saku39 during the meet, I got to sample the scents of the other ranges - sage and cedar, sandalwood, original Bay rum.

Sandalwood - brings a little sweetness, not too bad but not my favourite
Sage and cedar - I sure am getting one next time around. Very green and Herby, works well with the cloves that Ogallala is a little strong on.
Original Bay rum- classic, but I prefer the ones with a little twist.

YMMV

I originally went with (and love) the lime and peppercorn, but the Ogallala Bay Rum Sage & Cedar is rapidly becoming one of my favorites. They have really hit the nail on the head with that one especially with the Cedar notes not being overly dominant.
