Pre: Myrsol Antesol
Brush: Wolfwhiskers Ubersoft II
Soap: B&M Arctique
Razor: ATT S1
Blade: Vintage Polsilver (5)
Post: alum, witch hazel, TSW After Balm, B&M Arctique

It was a bit warm today in Melbourne, so I picked the chilling soap. Sure did the job. I feel like it's winter now....

5 shaves was it for me with the vintage Polsilver. Many nicks today, starting to not cut the whiskers at the bottom part of the chin. But still, usually blades only last 2-3 for me. Still got a relatively clean shave, with some stragglers.

Finished with my usuals and some Arctique blast to the face. Winter is here....

@silver - Arctique soap and aftershave in mid-winter? You've just scrambled Eggs!

Pre: Musgo Real Lime Oil soap, Myrsol Antesol and Emulsion
Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 Super Badger
Cream: Occams Crushed Lime
Razor: Feather AS-D2
Blade: Gillette Bleue Extra (1)
Post: Myrsol Antesol and Emulsion
Cologne: DR Harris Traditional

First shave with a Gillette Bleue Extra blade. Whoa - this blade is sharp. I've been using PSI's, which are no slouch in the sharpness stakes, but this was sharper. It proved a good match with the AS-D2 razor. The Occams was predictably excellent, resulting in an uber-close three pass shave. I'm just feeling the tricky areas around my face and neck where there is nearly always a faint rasp, and they are all BBS.
Impressed.
Post shave feel was stellar.
To keep the citrus vibe going, splashed the mug with DR Harris Traditional cologne.
Beautiful!

Razor: Vintage Gillette Flare Tip Rocket
Blade: Personna 'Lab' Blue (3)
Brush: Muhle travel brush
Soap/Cream: D R Harris Arlington
Aftershave: Floid Vigoroso

Last day on the Gold Coast. Home tonight. It has been really enjoyable having a decent razor and blade rather then the carts.

Have a great last day of the working week!

You are a funny guy :D

I often get a feeling you are sponsored by Wolfman or some other uber artisan razor maker to be honest, even if it is "Special Effects Week" :p

Thanks for the photo compliment, coming from you that means a lot as your pictures are always so good!

Preshave: Musgo Real Glyce soap and Proraso sandalwood preshave cream
Razor: Weber polished Head on an Ikon Handle
Blade: Vintage Polsilver(3)
Brush: Kent BLK8
Soap: MWF
Post Shave: Natio Balm, Fine American Blend AS and YSL Rive Gauche Pour Homme
Three pass shave, no worries. Smooth and soft. Was determined to get the lathering right for MWF and I think I am good to go now that's three days in a row. The Fine AS splash is a great way to finish up when paired with YSL Rive Gauche Pour Homme. Now for lunch.

In case anyone was wondering what we are going on about here :-

@alfredus is a senior member of one of the very large European(?) forums and has been for some years, he is renowned there for posting his awesome setups and skillfully photographed/photoshopped SOTD showcasing his personal collection of exotic/handmade razors. As the site is so big they have theme weeks with their SOTD and the current is a 'Special effects' theme/

One of those "faceturbate" days. Perfect....

Pre: Myrsol Antesol
Brush: Wolfwhiskers Ubersoft II
Soap: Mike's Hungarian Lavender
Razor: Standard
Blade: Feather
Post: alum, witch hazel, TSW After Balm, Ogallala Sage and Cedar

Being a synth, yes it doesn't hold as much water. It's okay, just load with a slightly wetter brush. Then keep loading and hydrating the lather. Mike's can take in so much water, and then some more. Fantastic soap this one here. Lather was great, moist and fat.

Standard performs very well. At the chin area I had some trouble getting some stubborn stubbles out. I have to approach with a steeper angle of attack. Whoala, gone. There is no disobeying the Feather blade (if it's a fresh sharp blade). No stubborn stubbles left.

Finished with my usual line up of finishers, plus the fantastic Ogallala Sage and Cedar. Very nice shave achieved. Lather is 80% of the shave.
