Brush: Shavemac 177
Soap: MdC
Razor: ATT S1
Blade: Vintage Polsilver
Post: alum, witch hazel, TSW After Balm, B&M Beaudelaire

Lather produced tonight was pretty good. I usually prefer tallow soaps, but the MdC fougere is out of this world. Beautiful scent, so unique as well. Also has the performance to back the soap up. Provided me a great nick and irritation free shave tonight.

Had a rough day at work. Nothing like a good shave to relax and enjoy. Don't know what others think, but I reckon wet shaving is a form of meditation! My Zen moment.

The vintage blade sure does lasts for a long time. Last one had like 6 shaves in. I'll be looking to get some more around October.

Finished off with my usual finishers. The B&M Beaudelaire aftershave is amazing product. Scent is just extraordinary!!!!! I was thinking about getting another one, but then Hallows is out soon.

Great write-up @silver. How would you describe the Beaudelaire scent?

Razor: Standard Razor
Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum (3)
Brush: EJ Best Badger
Soap: WSP Rustic Barbershop
After: The Stray Whisker After Balm

Third shave with the DPP, and while it has improved a bit over the first couple of shaves, it hasn't been magically transformed like my previous test. Very good shave after 3 passes, but having to put the work in to make it happen. I find it still a little harsh.

For my face/razor the effort required to drive this blade just isn't worth it for the performance it delivers. I can load an Astra and get 3 good shaves with very little effort. Even a Shark I can get one (but only one) excellent shave without trying.

I still have 3 DPP blades from the sample pack if anyone wants to try them, just message me and I'll post them to you.

Preshave: Musgo Real Glyce soap and Proraso sandalwood preshave cream
Razor: Ikon X3
Blade: Vintage Polsilver(3)
Brush: Shavemac 177
Soap: MWF
Post Shave: Natio Balm and Ogallala bay rum, limes and peppercorn
Better lather again with the MWF and the Ikon X3 continues to impress as a daily driver. Three pass shave, no nicks, no cuts and no irritation with a smooth, supple face.

Cold water shave
A/S: Captain's Choice "Cat o' Nine Tails" Bay Rum

Looked forward to this mornings shave ... ... ... Cat o' Nine Tails morning. Give me that burn. Soap, brush & shave were all good with Just a small nick on a mole on my neck. Now for the A/S. What a disappointment!!! No burn whatsoever… … … nothing. Smells good like a bay rum should but ZERO burn. I make a bit of home brew bay rum every so often using Digger's metho as the base and that burns and I'm a big fan of breath sapping sting but Cat o'clock Nine Tails had a BIG FAT ZERO in the burn Department. After all the reviews I read, well I'm flabbergasted. Got a couple of comments about the scent when I went out this evening … … … I splashed a little more on after a shower before I went.
Such an anti-climax for you!!! It just shows you're more of a real man (whatever THAT means?!?!) than you realise. ;)
(Psst! I didn't feel that much burn either... But it's a terrific scent!!!)

Great write-up @silver. How would you describe the Beaudelaire scent?

The Beaudelaire is an impressive feat.
It carries a good leather note as the base, sweeten by a tint of floral and ever so slightly tinge of vanilla.
You need to smell it to experience it, words don't quite do it justice.

Using words, I'd pick these words - Dark, Leather, Earthy. It does feels like something I'd wear to go watch a play.....in a tux with that bird on the soap tub label.

Pre: Myrsol Antesol
Brush: Wolfwhiskers Envy White Supreme
Soap: Eufros Jabonman Vetiver Haiti
Razor: ATT S1
Blade: Vintage Polsilver
Post: alum, Stirling Vetiver witch hazel with aloe, Eufros Jabonman Vetiver Haiti

Lather is nothing short of amazing. However being a big brush, this does take up a bit of soap. Sad thing is that I'm running low with this soap. I need to get some more earthy Vetiver Jabonman. Although I must admit, Jabonman is a little on the pricey side. But the scent is second to none, that is if you like smoky earthy Vetiver. Kind of like a good Islay.

Finished off with the alum and my new Vetiver scented witch hazel which I haven't had a chance to use. Top that up with my number one favourite balm - Eufros Jabonman Vetiver Haiti. It's layers of layers of Vetiver. I feel great and fantastic, but my missus refuses to kiss my face. Oh well, she is missing out.

Pre: Occams Pre Shave
Brush: SJOL 28mm SB
Razor: ATT Colossus R1
Soap: B+M Rhapsody
After: Balm
Aftershave: B+M Rhapsody

A new scent for the first day of spring and a fantastic shave from B+M as always. Bring on the warmer weather and a chance to use all the sping/summer stockpiled creams, soaps and splashes I say!

Pre-Shave: Shower
Razor: Edwin Jagger Kelvin
Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium
Soap/Cream: TSW #2 Shave Soap
Brush: Mühle Silvertip Fibre V2.0 Shaving Brush
A/S: TSW #1 Aftershave Lotion (Spritz)
ASB: The Stray Whisker After Balm
Post-Routine: hot rinse, alum, cold rinse, splash, dry skin, balm

I tried three new products for the first time this morning. Usually I'm trying only one new at a time (just to compare, to get a clean experiment, blah-blah-blan), but this time I simply couldn't resist. Resistance is futile, as we all know.

First of all I must admit Polsilver Super Iridium are excellent blades. Except for the wax spots! But, oh my gosh, the blade was fantastic! If the NOS Polsilver is even better then I understand why you guys are so obsessed with them. I'm thinking about buying 1000 Polsilver SI now...

In regards to the soap and splash - I got the TSW samples from the recent Sydney Shave Meet. Posted my thoughts on these products at: Thoughts on TSW #2 Shave Soap & #1 Aftershave Lotion (Spritz). Not a proper review, but at least something. Used a bit of balm to moisture the skin after splash. Always have to do that.

I must say this shave was one of the greatest and smoothest shaves I ever had so far. Super impressed. Three new products and three products from TSW.

How did you find it. I loved it at the meet. Hope it still there when I get to it.

It will be in high rotation during spring I am thinking, a lot of fresh pear blossom particularly in the splash with more of the base notes coming through in the cream. It is a complex fragrance which I sort of expected coming from B+M and in a way I prefer the complexity to some of the more mono scents creams and soaps.

I like it a lot, it leans towards spring weather and the first signs of warmth and this is reflected in the scent profile.

Had all week off as the toddler has been sick with fever, cold, teething and what we hope is not whooping cough.
He hasn't left me alone all week, as in will scream the house down if not actually touching me, awake or asleep.

Finally got him to take a nap this afternoon so decided on a top shelf shave, and I've got to say it feels wonderful to get rid of that growth.
However after 25 minutes the little blighter is awake and screaming again so I'm back to daddy wonderland.
