Brush: omega 10005
Razor: Slim
Soap: B+M Artique
Blade: Vintage Gillette silver platine
Aftershave: Floid vigoroso (menthol enhanced)

Had all week off as the toddler has been sick with fever, cold, teething and what we hope is not whooping cough.
He hasn't left me alone all week, as in will scream the house down if not actually touching me, awake or asleep.

Finally got him to take a nap this afternoon so decided on a top shelf shave, and I've got to say it feels wonderful to get rid of that growth.
However after 25 minutes the little blighter is awake and screaming again so I'm back to daddy wonderland.
I feel your pain

Sounds like you will be deserving of Fathers Day this Sunday!

Pre: Shower
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Razor: Rockwell 6S (3)
Blade: Gillette 7 O'Clock Black
Brush: Simpson Duke 2 "Pure"
After: Alum, Pinaud "Clubman", TSW After Balm

So I've read reports about MWF being hard to work out. I have to admit that I had a hard time this evening.
The scent is good, the post shave feel is great, but the actual performance during the shave was lacking tonight.
It won't take much I suspect, but I will have to play around a little. Probably not too bad for the first shave anyway.
The 7 O'Clock blade was still very nice, and I didn't have any real dramas with the razor.
The Pinaud goes quite a long way, and it comes out of the bottle slightly quicker than I was expecting. I wonder if that is because of the plastic bottle?
Myrsol seems to be slower to come out of the glass bottle...
Anyway, the fragrance from this aftershave is really nice.
Even though I have a bit much on tonight, I'm enjoying the scent and suspect I will still be able to smell it in the morning.
So the result was a little bit of a let down, ended up with a SAS. With a great wafting smell! :D

Pre: Musgo Real Glyce Soap
Soap: Mike's Orange, Cedarwood and Black Pepper
Razor: iKon Tech
Blade: PSI (2)
Brush: Paladin Falstaff 26mm
After: Alum, Myrsol Antesol

My best shave with the Tech yet. It really is an 'aggressive masterpiece.' It demands excellent technique, but not just in the pressure and angle. Prep and lather need to be immaculate. I had 2 days growth and my slickest soap. Utter focus in the shave resulted in a crazy close shave with DFS after 2 passes. A third resulted in the closest shave I've had. Ever. It was phenomenal.

Razor: ATT S1

Post: alum, witch hazel, TSW After Balm, Myrsol Agua Balsamica

Fantastic shave tonight. I noticed that ever since I start using the Antesol, shaves have been relatively smooth and irritation free. Not sure if it's the Antesol, or the improvement in the lathering and shaving technique, but I'm sure it does play a part in it. Upon first use the Antesol wasn't the best smelling splash, but now I've grown to love it. Lather was fantastic. I am really loving the Vintage Polsilver.

Balance restored, world a better place, have a great Friday guys!

Cold-water shave today. Water heater broke last night and water was just a bit warm. Still wanted to shave.

Pre-Shave: Barely warm shower
Razor: Edwin Jagger Kelvin
Blade: Polsilver SI
Soap/Cream: Occams Crushed Lime Shave Cream
Brush: Mühle Silvertip Fibre V2.0 Shaving Brush
A/S: TSW #1 Aftershave Lotion (Spritz)
ASB: The Stray Whisker After Balm
Cologne: 4711
Post-Routine: barely warm rinse, alum, cold rinse, splash, dry skin, balm, cologne

Not a pleasant exercise, but certainly doable. Used cream as it was much easier and quicker to lather in warm water. Lime and lemon scents to beat rainy Sydney's weather. To my surprise got BBS on cheeks, DFS on the neck and SAS around Adam's apple. Had a bit of irritation on the neck, but the TSW splash and balm cured that very well. 4711 cologne complimented lime cream and lemon myrtle lotion.

Iv'e been there man, I ran a kettle for my hot water else I would end up shredding my english skin something horrible. Your perseverance as a Gentleman in shaving despite the odds should be applauded though!

Pre: La Toja soap, Myrsol Antesol and Emulsion
Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 Super Badger
Soap: GFT Eucris
Razor: Feather AS-D2
Blade: Vintage Gillette Spoiler (2)
Post: Myrsol Antesol and Emulsion
A/S: GFT Eucris

A new puck of GFT Eucris. If I could give 11/10 for a scent, I would. Not a watered down version of the wonderful Eucris cologne, but more a true, rich and robust example.
Then came human involvement. As is often the case for me with new triple-milled pucks, I royally cocked up the lather. The puck lathered easily, but I under loaded, resulting in substandard second/third passes.
The glide and slickness was lacking on those passes, resulting in some razor burn and irritation. The spoiler performed admirably though, with no nicks/weepers, and a very close shave.
The severe sting from the post-shave Antisol confirmed that my face had seen some trauma. The ever reliable Emulsion calmed thins down, leaving a surprisingly good post-shave feel.
Can't wait to have another go with this soap and get the lather right.

Pre: Myrsol Antesol
Brush: Wolfwhiskers Envy White Supreme
Soap: Mystic Waters Bay Rum
Razor: ATT S1
Blade: Vintage Polsilver
Post: alum, witch hazel, TSW After Balm, Ogallala Lime and Peppercorn Bay Rum

First go with the Mystic Waters. Initially the proto lather was really sticky and gluey. It loads very easily and the stickiness suggests that it's very thirsty. Lather created was doesn't look as good as @alfredus lather, but the performance is stellar. I can just keep adding water to it, and oh yes, you will need a lot of water as the soap can handle it. Once I give it a few more goes I suspect I will get there.

With the amazing lather, I got a very close shave. Lather is very protective, such a luxury feel to it. Scent wise it doesn't really strike out much like a bay rum. Couldn't detect the usual Bay rum hints. It smells good, but just doesn't smell like Bay rum. Anyone else feeling the same about MW's take on Bay rum? I'm keen to get some more MW, any good recommendations? The Vetiver one sounds good.

Mastro Livi Club Razor 2016 CarboInox, 7/8 Full Hollow, Spanish Point

I am so happy with this Mastro Livi Club Razor 2016 that I brought it with me in this month's business trip. This was the razor Mastro Livi created in limited edition for us members of the club and I am one of the lucky owners. It gives a very close and velvety shave, the usual impeccable shaving feel only Mastro Livi honing and razors can deliver. For today's shave I also used some of my home made shaving products, including my shaving soap - of which I am super proud for the incredible performance - pre-shave oil and Bay Rum aftershave.
  • Pre-Shave: RazorGuy Pre-Shave Oil
  • Soap: RazorGuy Shaving Soap
  • Brush: Omega Bristle #89

  • Strop: Mastro Livi Travel Loom Strop and Hand Palm
  • Razor: Mastro Livi Club Razor 2016 CarboInox, 7/8 Full Hollow, Spanish Point
