Shave of the Day Thread - 2016

Razor: iKon X3 with Rockwell handle
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (2)
Brush: Omega Boar
Soap: Speick cream
After: Alum, Pinaud Clubman, TSW After Balm

Had a great shave tonight. Probably started out with a little too much of the Speick cream, it took a lot of water.
The lather produced was great nonetheless. Providing me with a terrific platform for a pleasant shave.
Traditional 3 pass tonight, with maybe a slight amount of irritation around the jawline. Nothing the After Balm can't handle.
Finished up with a DFS+ bordering BBS.
I tended to agree with @Lifes a Peach in that the handle with the X3 from Massdrop being the oss handle is too large.
Seeing as though I had another stainless handle laying around, I decided to give it a try instead.
I tend to think that a handle of similar length to the Rockwell handle suits the X3 better personally.
Still loving the Pinaud, and the after balm is magnificent stuff.

A/S: Myrsol Antesol

The Ghost Ship is one of the softest soaps I've used. Softer than some creams. It produces a lovely lather, though it's not as thirsty as some I've used. I forgot that it has a little touch of menthol which was a pleasant surprise. The Slim on 7 produced a special shave. I haven't used it in a while and it reminded me why I still have it despite my other Gillette adjustable.

Lovely shave tonight. Although I did under loaded the brush a little. I tend to get too hooked onto how much soaps I use, and then I tend to load less. I think my shaves are best when I overload my brushes. I do prefer wet yoghurt lather. The boar has broken in nicely now. It's quite soft and comfortable. Can only get softer!

Traveling with Mastro Livi Club Razor 2016​

Still on the road and still traveling with this fabulous Mastro Livi Club Razor 2016 edition. This straight razor proves, shave after shave, the magnificence of Mastro Livi CarboInox, not only so beautiful to see but also an excellent performer in shaving. I should also say this Mennen Blue aftershave is a good product with a lovely aroma and a nice cooling effect. As for Cella shaving soap, it is the Italian soap you cannot be wrong in enjoying its creamy and luscious lather. Omega professional brush number 48 is still one of the best bristle shave brushes around.​

Mate, I'm quick. I was a blur.
By which I mean it was raining and I'm a bit fair weather.
