Broke out the Platinum Lux tonight, and was severely disappointed. Felt like it was tugging from the get go.
Still managed to end up with a DFS+ after my usual WXX passes.
Decided also to shave with cold water only, due to the heat we have experienced the last two days in Melbourne.
Finally catching up with the rest of Aus and getting some decent weather here.
I wonder if you build up an immunity to menthol? The Arctic Mango doesn't seem as though it's as "cooling" as it was when I first used it, ditto for the Myrsol...
Might have to buy myself some crystal menth down the track...

Sometimes you need to be away from a product for a while to fully appreciate its quality. Such was the case for me with Shaver Heaven Arctic Mango soap. So easy to lather, thanks partly to the design of the tub, which allows rapid loading. A dense, creamy lather was quickly face-lathered, with superb cushioning, glide and persistence.
A three pass shave yielded a BBS result. No blood, but a wee bit of irritation under the chin due to slightly zealous pressure from yours truly. Sorted immediately by the Myrsol 1-2 punch of Antesol and Emulsion.
The vintage Spoiler blade is still very sharp and smooth on its 5th outing.
Finished with Australian Private Reserve Alfredus Choice. Whilst the Pork Chop was a bit too full on with the dry woods for my taste, this was right in my sweet spot. The balance between woods, spices, and maybe some citrus notes was spot on. @todras - another very impressive effort!

Not to shabby for a Wednesday, my face has been as dry as a nuns with the hot winds and extreme heat so some steps were taken. Bloody lovely shave from the CF and the Fatboy, 4 more days of work before a months holiday and I can hardly wait.

I was actually debating whether to shave today, for the first time in my life on a work day - yesterday my usual 5 o'clock shadow just didn't appear. That ATG BBS pass yesterday was closer than anything I have ever experienced - too close! Another 2 pass WTG DFS today. Got a couple of weepers although I put that down to my skin still being tender from yesterday - should have listened to @bald as - although I already knew that!

Wow - 25 years! Congratulations, Mate! Mrs '66 certainly found a keeper, and my bet is that she's a happy girl.
