Shower
Proraso Green Pre cream
Feather AC DX non folding with Pro Super blade (9)
Proraso Green
Omega 80266
Witch Hazel, cold rinse

Super smooth 2 pass WTG/ATG shave today with BBS result. Couple of minor weepers. I haven't posted my last few shaves as I got lazy. The lathers were ordinary though - wasn't the soaps' fault as I was just loading too dry and not adding water while on the puck = not enough product. Fixed that today although I still find the Proraso products to be a bit drier than I would like in post shave. Slickness is OK if you add enough water but easy to go overboard and it breaks down. I like the menthol / eucalypt hit, although it would be lovely if I could find a product that did that with the same post shave soft feel I get from my glycerine / lanolin soaps...

My "no-balm" experiment is paying off = no zits. Might try the balms again in winter...

@Benjamin pretty darn good better than the Omega 10065 and the backbone is up there not too strong that will scrub you're skin off it doesn't splay too much against the 620, and if you give it some time to break in is a bloody ripper.

Thanks for the feedback @SpeedyPC . (y) My 620 is treating me very well, but the SOC is at the top of my wishlist!

Rapira Platinum Lux
Shavemac D01 2 Band
Mike's Natural Soaps "Vetiver"

Pre-Shave: Cypriotian Olive/Argan Oil soap, cold water
Razor: ATT S1 Colossus
Blade: Ladas (1)
Brush: Whipped Dog 24mm Synthetic
Lather: Mystic Water Natural
Post-shave: Alum, Stirling Coniferous, South Australian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Sorry no picture today - it was snowing in the morning and we went for a stroll

Cold water shaves in real winter are really cold - but my skin feels so great, especially after a splash of -5C winds (y)

A NOS frameback straight arrived from Japan and was the weapon of choice tonight. I have never seen such a thin blade. About the thickness of a GEM SE blade set in the molded frameback. This razor is 7/8" so one of my bigger blades but actually seems a reasonable amount smaller. It shaves like a full hollow but with the rigidity of a much heftier blade.
Although it did have a quite passable factory edge, I honed it from the very bevel through to finishing on my translucent Arkansas and the edge from the micro thin blade was great to shave with.
2 passes and DFS+
Soap a brush and macadamia nut oil with Lemon myrtle to finish with.

Razor: Gillette Sensor Cartridge System
Blade: Gillette Sensor Cartridge (5)
Brush: Muhle synthetic travel brush
Soap/Cream: D R Harris Arlington shave stick
Aftershave: Stirling Soap Co Ozark Mountain balm

Fifth shave with a cart, AKA, one shave too many!

At least I got some inspiration last night for a building to house the razor collection -

@walklikeaduck - nice line-up there. What are your thoughts on the Creed GIT?
I personally love it. I bought my bottle around 2008, and it has not deteriorated. The scent is similar to Cool Water, but stronger and lasts much longer, whereas Cool Water does not last very long at all. The initial scent comes on a bit strong, but the drydown is incredible. I think GIT is the perfect spring or summer scent.

@Mark1966 - methinks you may be sampling some exceptional produce in that particular region?

Cheers Mate - a great description.

Hot towel
Feather AC DX non folding with Pro Super blade (10)
Cella
Proraso brush
Witch Hazel

2 pass WTG and ATG shave. BBS result, except for a couple of DFS spots that I missed in the ATG pass. Another couple of tiny weepers. Cella produced oodles of thick, creamy lather for me today, as well as a strong desire for some biscotti... Slickness and post shave was better than Proraso but not as good as MWF / Shaver Heaven / Lea stick.

I love having my BBS back!

Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce
Razor: Dorko 855 6/8"
Brush: Thater 4125/3 2 Band
Lather: Chiseled Face Summer Storm
Post-shave: Alum, PAA Deja Fougere

Spectacular first pass with the Dorko. Literally just wiping lather from my face gave a DFS. DFS++ after 2 passes and I should have stopped there instead of chasing BBS. The third pass always take me a long time and it wasn't needed today. I really love the heft of this razor, it's probably why I have trouble with my Bengall.
I'm about 50 shaves in to straights and I am very happy with my progress. I can get a shave as close as DEs (even ATG on my neck now) and I actually didn't think that would be possible 2 months ago. Still so much to learn though (just starting to use my stones).

How do you like the Thater compared to the Paladin? Preference?

They are very different brushes. The Thater is the softest brush I've used. Awesome gel tips.
I have 2 Paladins. The Purple Haze 26mm fan is very very similar to Shavemac 2 band. The Tigris Perla 28mm bulb is closer to the Envy White with less scrub. Very soft and great flow through.
