Happy birthday @Draco Noir love you're straight razor
Dickensons WH....not a fan. I don't like the scent, is very watery and left me feeling like I had just splashed on water, nothing else. Does this stuff actually do anything? I'll stick to Thayer's thanks.
That's really good news @Osman - glad to hear you got a great shave from the AS-D2 first time out! I'd be interested to hear what it's like with a Polsilver, as one of our fellow shavers suggested...
Congratulations @Sxot! Your first straight shave is an event you will remember all your life. I well recall mine - various parts of the anatomy tensed up like never before.... You've started with a fine razor - Tanifuji are up there with the best of the best. What model is it exactly? I'd be interested to know...
Anyway, good luck with your journey of discovery - may it be long, pleasant and rewarding mate!
Yes, it's not a balm or a cream, but a splash. Like alcohol based aftershaves.
Definitely doing something. Witch hazel is very good for your skin. Fantastic astringent, and doesn't dry skin out or sting after shaving. And it's quite good at controlling acne if that's an issue. My wife has taken to using it as her nightly toner and thinks it's great (and heaps cheaper than fancy brand toners).
I warned you about the smell... Surprisingly you do get used to it, and it goes away very quickly, so add whatever cologne you want afterwards.
Face Wash : Shower
Pre-Shave : Myrsol Emulsion

It's my birthday today, so I felt that an absolutely top shelf shave was called for. I selected my favourite, most indulgent items and proceeded from there. An absolutely knock out shave was the result, so the shave gods must be in a birthday kind of mood too
Loved every second of this perfect shave
Many thanks @Lifes a Peach - you're too kind my friend!...and I love the photograph!
Have to agree with this comment. Good soap, but the lack of a strong scent makes Cella an efficient but bland soap.Cella is a good soap, but I find virtually scentless. After the other top notch soaps I have been using it's rather uninspiring.
Happy Birthday @Draco NoirIt's my birthday today,
Stunning shave as always RazorGuy!
I 've heard that TVB Shaving has some in and is the place to buy it. It looks like you'll need some soon! [emoji6]
This soap while being the most expensive soap I have ever bought is brilliant. It is full to the brim and a little goes a long way. Face is smooth and smelling nice. What more do you want?
Which KB? The wavy head or the straight headed one, or a combination of the two?Brush: L'Occitane Plisson

Just posted the B&M Night Music for sale exclusively on P&C for the next 8 hours only. Then I'll post it to other BST sites... (if it hasn't sold!)
