I've taken to using a combo of the two - wavy cap on the smooth base parts. The best of both. [emoji41]

A pleasant shave from a random selection of favourites. The Alvarez Gomez always finishes off the shave in the nicest possible way.

After many bad nights, epiphany! Really really, use really little pressure on the slant. Let the weight drop it down, and slowly guide it. With the feathers in them, it just slices through my whiskers effortlessly. It has been one of my smoothest shaves for a while now. But I do feel my DR harris rose gives me better protection, glide and such a close shave. Will report tomorrow, tomorrow is rose day.

Great shave. That Anne Bonny... oh she smells amazing. Plenty of slickness in the soap too. My wife's comment was "smells like a mojito". That can only be a good thing.

The American Blend is nice too. Clean scent. Fairly strong. Good everyday aftershave.

Brilliant shave this morning. 3 pass WTG, XTG, XTG. Producing DFS still exploring with blades in the DE89. Very happy with this morning's efforts!

Third shave with the dorco in a different razor, so will have the review up sometime today (month end is always fun). Went with the menthol shave this morning, which was awesome. Well, the during shave feeling was great and the post initially was nice. I've been spoilt by the great post shave feelings of Artisans I think.

Will be keeping my eyes out for a SH menthol that isn't paw paw or mango (the only 2 scents I really hate lol), or a special at Stirling to grab some of their menthol soaps (thinking MITA or Glacial Lemon).

Went full balls today.... standard three pass plus clean-up! I know, I know. The words of Han Solo rang in my ears the entire time "Great Kid, now don't get cocky". I took my time kept an eye on blade angle and all ended pretty well. Halfway through the second pass the girls (7 & 9) were fighitng/crying over milk. FFS, can't I just have a few quiet minuets to myself!?!?!? I sorted them out, went back to the bathroom as the phone starts ringing and locked the door. I don't want to know. Right, take a deep breath, calm down and keep that blade singing... Really glad I went the Arctic Mango - honestly helped me keep my cool. If only the balm had arrived to top it off!! @Anthony needs to make more of this stuff. I am just about out and pawpaw is not my thing. :(

Very close result. BBS with, DFS against. The smoothness seems to be smoother than that from a DE or am I making this up? Some irritation mostly on the neck (blade angle!!), a couple of weepers but bloody good. I've had much worse DE shaves in the past month that is for sure. Left hand is coming along nicely as is finding angles/positions where I can actually see. I find going east to west on my neck challenging when it comes to blade hold/positioning but I will work that out.

How much do you use?

Or did you mean you are nearly out of the Thayers?
