Soap: Shaver Heaven, Hazelnut Cappuccino
Brush: Edwin Jagger badger
Face lather
Blade: Inoue Fujisuke kamisori

Gotta love long weekends. 10:00am shave, wife still in bed chatting while I shaved , which is normally something I definitely don't like when I'm using a sharp razor on my face bur 'ey, I wan't going anywhere so I could take my time.

Even though I "can't get into" the scent of this soap, the performance is top-shelf. The badger lathered up a storm. Love the practicality and simplicity of face lathering. I find the kami takes a longer shave time (even without my wife talking [strike]at[/strike] to me). Kamis provide a close shave and I enjoy the skill of learning all the angles every fortnight or so when I grab it down from the shelf.

If you have never used a kamisori (the traditional method: one handed operation with the omote side always the face), do yourself a favour and grab one. These razors teach you so much about hair growth patterns and passes that your shaves will improve with every other razor you use, be it a straight or DE.

Really comfortable DFS on "setting" 3 with the Rockwell. It's the first outing with this one so not going to comment on it yet, will give a few more uses with this setting and then shift to 4. I'll post a review soon. For the meantime, see some images <<here>>

Brush: Simpsons M7 Manchurian
Razor: Personna Tech
Blade: Vintage British Personna
Soap: Semogue Lavender
A/S: Ach Brito Lavanda + 444

Really starting to enjoy the Personna combination. Only slightly more aggressive than a Gillette Tech but with three quick passes, WTG, XTG and ATG, a perfect BBS with no touch up required. Perfect.

Preshave: Proraso red
Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89 with Windrose handle
Blade: Polsilver SI
Brush: Shavemac 177
Soap: PannaCrema San Francesco
Post Shave: Loccitane BAVX balm and Alt Innsbruck Cologne
Three pass shave . Two and a half days growth so I took my time with prep and made sure the whiskers were well hydrated and clean. Also spent a bit of time with the lather and its application. First pass WTG was a lovely one, so smooth and most of the whiskers are gone. Two more passes XTG for a BBS result with no irritation. Ready for a night out.

Brush: Muhle Silvertip Fibre Synthetic
Soap: La Toja Shave Stick
Razor: Gillette Slim (6)
Blade: Voskhod (2)
Post Shave: I Coloniali mango balm sample

My new travel kit. Went to town with the shave stick and got enough lather for 9 passes. Super lather, very impressed for a cheap stick. May upgrade this to my regular rotation. The balm was cooling but maybe a little sticky, great scent though.

Soap: Shaver Heaven, Hazelnut Cappuccino
Brush: Simpson's Berkerley badger
Face lather
Blade: Inoue Fujisuke kamisori

Same shave as yesterday but used a different brush and "got 'round" to shaving at 1.30pm today. These Public Holidays/long weekends are just so slooooooow, absolutely perfect for using the kami. @alfredus has really been pushing the load the brush thing and I've been following his suggestion of late. I am really reaping the benefits of loading for that bit longer. Shaver Heaven soaps are top quality and are superb in the lather department, especially when you LOAD the brush. The better quality of the Simpson's over the Edwin Jagger I purchased really stands out in the lathering department (EJ was my first brush - Shaver Shop).

I thank @Mark for putting this kami up for sale. I would be much the poorer for not having used a traditional styled kamisori. My concentration levels are very much elevated when wielding this blade. Takes me back to the joy and wonder of wet shaving. Concentrate on, study and really enjoy each time the blade touches the face.

Brush: RazoRock Plissoft
Razor: Parker 31R Shavette
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (4, 2nd half of the blade)
Soap/Cream: Haslinger Sheeps Milk & Lanolin (very similar to MWF)
Post/After Shave: T.N. Dickinson Witch Hazel Astringent / Natio Maximum Razor Relief Healing Lotion
Fragrance: L'Occitane Baux EDT
Time: Who cares I'm enjoying myself wet shaving, love making a bloody mess and clean up after I'm done.

Good morning and G'day ;) this is my last shave tonight here in Scotland and I'm getting on the plane tomorrow morning heading home sweet home back to Sydney, I've been having a great time as part of the Masonic Lodges in West of London for the United Grand Lodge of England and also in Edinburgh for the Grand Lodge of Scotland. I've met so many great Mason in UK and it has been truly an overwhelming experience as part of the Masonic History and my Masonic family history goes all the way back to the year of 1126, while I was busy with my Masonic Lodges and I've managed to track down on my Masonic family history who are wet shavers and they're about 70% of them are straight razors and 30% are safety razors all I can say is WOW!.

I believe something in my Masonic family blood has making me go to straight shaving because as I said before I've never used a straight razors in my life, and this is why I went and bought a Parker 31R shavette and I've been using the shavette for a while when I couldn't find time to using a real straight razor and then used a strop here in UK. In a few month time when I start saving some money and get all the straight gear supplies and I'll be moving over to straight style, I wanted to used the Parker 31R shavette for a while so I can get better in my straight technique before I move over to a real straight razor. Also I'm thinking about buying a IBC Straight Shavette has anybody here P&C has own a IBC Shavette and what do you think of them, and for those who have never heard of a IBC Straight Shavette see link http://shavenook.com/showthread.php?tid=37456 or http://irvingbarberco.com/index.php?route=common/home

Cheers ;)
